First we got higher taxes. That is not my main concern. A pack of Camels used to be $3.50. Now they are 5 bucks! I realize that other states have it worse off. We're talking $9 to $13. So I am willing to let that go.

In the State of North Carolina, we are no longer allowed to smoke inside pubic places, which is bullshit. If you don't smoke, and don't want to breath in secondhand smoke, GO SOMEWHERE THAT DOES NOT HAVE A SMOKING SECTION!! I'll give you airplanes and hospitals. (Watch some old movies) Why the hell can't I smoke in Waffle House? The WH servers I have talked to think it is s**t also. Now their customers have to smoke in the cold/heat/rain/snow/whatever or go with out. Thus leading to people getting pissy from being wet, sweaty, frozen, or having a nic fit. Cranky people don't tip as well as happy people. Even that I am willing to let go.

Legislation has passed requiring cigarette manufacturing to be handled by the Government. Also light and ultra light versions of brands are to be nonexistent. Not sure when this is to go into effect, but the time is coming. Yet another mute point.

What really pisses my off is the fact that cigarettes now have flame retardant chemicals added. If you have noticed your smoke going out on you after setting it down or not puffing for a minute, you are sucking in one more thing that can't be good for you. I heard a friend, as in I can't prove it, that said chemical is carpet glue. MOTHER ******** CARPET GLUE!! Seriously, what the ******** hell?

yeah michigan will be banning smoking in bars entirely starting may 21st. they've also banned flavored tobacco because it encourages kids to smoke. and theve added the firesafes. eh... it was going to happen sooner or later...

at least the prospect of legal marijuana is possible here in michigan. we can grow our own plants "for medicinal use". whats best is its pretty much "hey doc im depressed... you got anything for me?"

they banned smoking in bars and restaurants a few years ago in DC, then they banned it so you couldn't smoke in apartment buildings, and according to a friend they just banned it so you couldn't smoke in front of any business or residence, which is to say in DC, anywhere there's sidewalk.

but i can't seem to give a s**t because a pack of bugler only cost me like 75 cents here and i can smoke in a nursery if i wanted to, they don't seem to give a damn at all. god bless these people every one.

I am not condoning smoke around the young or the ill here. I just want to smoke while I drink some coffee. It's the simple things in life that make me happy.

Smokes are up to $8-$10 in Jersey, $10+ in NYC.

We've had the flame-retardent chemicals for at least two years now. And the can't smoke in public places, or 15 ft from the entrance of a building for a while now.

The increasingly Liberal sentiment in our cities, it's not even progressive, it's these "high class" yuppie liberals that love to talk and talk and talk. Basically they have the big-government sentiment of "you're too dumb to know what's good for you".

New neighbors built their home right across the road. They send in a complaint to the ******** county saying we have a "junkyard"/"construction yard" and they don't like to see it. They also turned in a guy below them "because his trees are too high" and they block their view. On their side of the road, you know what their view is!? ******** Anikona estates. A bunch of ******** roof tops. And those trees have even been there longer than we have. It just takes a bitcher.
