The Otokage resides here. All who wish to enter must meet with the two guards at the gate. Inside the hideout is a number of dark corridors, some leading to prison cells. Even localizing the Kage is difficult.

"Hard work pays off in the end, but I would like to know- what kind of work pays off now?" Danzo was sitting there in his chair all bored and hoping something new would just happen to the village. Lately there have been a smaller amount of shinobi joining Otogakure, which was troublesome. He had finished his paperwork or "pain in the neck" as he called it and decided to walk around for awhile. He began walking out his room and simply waved at the ANBU guarding him, faking a smile as usual. "Ugh...when I was ANBU I could at least spar with friends...now that I am Kage there is nothing to do except work! Tch.." He went back to his officeroom and picked up a rock. He threw the rock up and down as he waited for news of a possible attack or something...The Hard-headed Overconfident Solid Wall Earth-Styled Otokage

Xzaro | Datenshi 堕天使 | Kage 影 "There are still shadows in the brightest of lights."“You have to have the darkness for the dawn to come. I have long since closed my eyes. My only goal is in that darkness. The clouds hovering overhead in the deep blue color of the sky. The birds swooping through those puffs of white known as clouds. Peaceful, yes...but to some this was a sign of inactivity. To the man strolling through the area, inactivity was something he was battling against almost daily. Today he decided to do something for a change and perhaps make some extra cash. Perhaps a henchmen to accompany him in the murders of those innocent would be nice to own.
Xzaro came to the entrance of the Otokage's hideout. Yes, he knew where that was for he was considered a Council member to the people of the village, but soon it would change to "an enemy" of the village. A "murderer". His plans for that however, required a henchmen and in consequence he needed money. As he reached the doors, the guards smiled politely knowing of Xzaro's status and they began to open the huge metal gates to the dull maze. Of course, for someone like Xzaro, the location of the Otokage was no mystery for even the prisoners along the way knew Xzaro's steps by memory.
In a short time, Xzaro was at the Otokage's door. He was tossing a rock up and down instead of doing his paperwork. How typical of him. "Danzo, I am in need of currency. Do you have any missions available?" Usually the other villagers would say "Danzo-sama" or "Lord Danzo." Xzaro however, never showed signs of respect to this childish leader, and instead always called him by his name, Danzo. Surprisingly, the Otokage had never noticed Xzaro's vocabulary and would instead tease him about being too tense. Xzaro would ignore the comments and always get to the subject. Prepared for another teasing, Xzaro waited patiently to be told of any mission. Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.”

"Hard work pays off in the end, but I would like to know- what kind of work pays off now?" He stopped tossing the rock when he heard his name being mentioned. "Oh...uh..hi Xzaro...missions?" Danzo looked up and thought for awhile. He thought for about 8 seconds before coming up with an answer. "Sorry Xzaro...if there were any interesting missions I would go myself. Too bad the highest ranked mission at the moment is chunin level..." Danzo looked through a stack of papers he had on his desk to make sure there wasn't anything suitable for Xzaro's request. Danzo gave up after seeing that the first 20 or so sheets all said "D-ranked." But then he noticed an envelope on his desk and jumped up excitedly."Here we are. This letter is written to the Hokage, from me personally. It's kinda last second but I don't feel like leaving so if you give it to him and return, I will grant you a nice sum of money. This is about...A-ranked since it deals with intervillage affairs I suppose..." Danzo kinda trembled at the word intervillage. The letter was about Danzo's allegiance to the Hokage and Konoha, saying that at anytime the Hokage wanted, he could request help from Otogakure's forces. This ofcourse was illegal because the decision was supposed to be discussed with the Council, but Danzo chose to decide for himself on the matter. "Go on, send the message and return with a reply, and remember...don't read the letter! It's...very personal..." With that, Danzo escorted Xzaro out of his office and said his goodbyes. The Hard-headed Overconfident Solid Wall Earth-Styled Otokage

"Hard work pays off in the end, but I would like to know- what kind of work pays off now?" Almost as soon as Taiyou was about to escort Xzaro, a genin came into the office. Obviously his guards weren't doing a very good job if they were letting anyone with a Sound headband come in. "I'm sorry Akechi. Things in the village have been going rather slow so I ask that you find something productive to do while I sort through these damned papers..." The truth was, Danzo probably had a squad set up, he just wasn't organized enough to know who or where they could be. "If you'd like, I have many missions for genin. Or you could go to the training grounds and maybe you'll meet a team." Danzo got annoyed when too many people where in his office, watching, observing, judging his place as a leader. He sat down and sighed. "What kind of mission would you like?"The Hard-headed Overconfident Solid Wall Earth-Styled Otokage

♠Ω*φ*Ω♠ Heart of Shadow, the Dead Sage ♠Ω*φ*Ω♠
A voice suddenly rose from all around them. At first, it sounded a chuckle from far in the distance, but moments later it increased to full scale laughter that echoed from all directions. It rose to such heights that is seemed a giggle, but what was truly horrifying about it was the insanity clear within the sound. From around them the shadows hummed with power, all except their own. From a shadow a hundred feet away suddenly came a hand covered in an ebony gauntlet, each finger tipped with a bone like claw. Further the gauntlet came out, and from it showed an arm that was covered by a dark gray material. It continued up until a shoulder appeared, upon which rested the skull of some beast yellowed with age and with horns the same color of bone. From the shadow would step what seemed to be a man, though oddly dressed even for the shinobi of today's age. The gray robe surrounded the form of a rather tall man, about six feet tall and bone thin. The robe itself was held shut by a sandy brown sash that hung at his waist, for its length was too great for the thin body upon which it was worn. The same ebony style armor covered his chest in a breastplate, from which extended a chain up to his left shoulder and across his throat to his right where it connected with the skull upon it. A scythe was carried in his left hand, made from the arm of a giant skeleton and bonded somehow to hold the scythe blade in its hand. A face mask covered the lower half of his face, embroidered with a horrid grin that reminded any who saw it of their worse nightmares. Pale blue skin showed just above that, and from the skin showed two eyes. It was these eyes that were the worst of his features. They were blacker than night, blacker than the deepest shadow between the stars. And from them seeped fear, fear that even gave those who were fearless a cold shiver down their spine.
Any who'd been born into the village knew whom this was. His name was Junan Kuragari, and had been Otokage before Taiyou before the Council had discovered his...instability. They had put him on the council to keep him in check, for many believed that Junan would not harm those of his village unless ordered to do so. Even with that, though, his nickname spoke of the reason he was so feared. The Devourer of Worlds, or the Devourer for short. He was a cannibal, and drew pleasure from the pain of others. Xzaro might not know it, but of everyone in the village Junan would be the best to choose as an ally. Turning his dead black eyes to Xzaro, he saluted the man and cackled in amusement before turning those same horrific eyes to the Otokage. "So, my kage, what have you for me to do?" The voice was high, almost alto, yet it was the voice of a madman, always seeming on the edge of laughter and filled with amusement no matter the situation.

Xzaro | Datenshi 堕天使 | Kage 影 "There are still shadows in the brightest of lights."“You have to have the darkness for the dawn to come. I have long since closed my eyes. My only goal is in that darkness. A personal message to the leader of another village? And a member of the council was not allowed to read that message? That was odd. The fact that Danzo tried his best to exit Xzaro out of the room was not odd however, it now passed as suspicion. Thankfully a genin arrived, giving Xzaro enough time to observe the situation. He noticed Danzo's disorganizition and his hurry, which was nothing new. Then Junan came unto the scene.Junan was already familiar with Xzaro, as they had already discussed in private their own goals and how they could help each other out. But with three people in the small room and Junan being one of them, Xzaro himself got a little uncomfortable. "Good morning Junan. I don't think Danzo has any missions however, he gave his last A-ranked to me. Good luck though." Xzaro was quick to exit the hideout, realizing his mission was to go to Konoha. Konoha was the enemy village to Xzaro's clan, meaning the fact that he had to go to enemy territory made the mission personal to him as well. How ironic.Exit to Konoha's Gates.

Shō rotated his head and paid attention towards Xzaro then, to Junan. His face was calmed though. They have bad intentions buried deeply in themselves. Shō couldnt care less so he paid his attention towards the kage. "I dont care as long it is challenging and not to easy." said in a polite tone. Shō then displayed a smile towards the kage across his face.

"Hard work pays off in the end, but I would like to know- what kind of work pays off now?" Danzo felt a sudden rise in happiness as Xzaro left the room, making it easier to concentrate on the genin. But then almost as soon as he left, Junan came in. Junan was always on Danzo's bad side, being the maniac he was it was even more uncomfortable socializing with him. Danzo pretended to ignore Junan as he finished with the genin. "Akechi, the highest ranked mission I am allowed to give to you at the moment is C-ranked. I know for a fact that I have some C-ranked missions here but seeing that it is a perfect chance, why don't you go with Xzaro? It's C-ranked because you are escorting and guarding someone." Danzo neared the boy and in his ear he whispered something, "While you escort him, make sure he doesn't open the letter for me and I'll give you some extra cash..." Danzo got up and again in his normal tone spoke, "Hurry up though, he should be at the gates of Konoha in no time since he is a fast shinobi. If I know Xzaro, he would probably wait at the gates for a guard or someone before actually going in so that is where you need to meet him. Good luck."Danzo quickly escorted the genin out of his office despite the fact that he might not have agreed to the mission. Danzo needed the office all to himself before dealing with Junan. Once the genin was several yards away, Danzo let Junan into his office and began. "I don't have any missions Junan, all the ones I have at the moment are low-ranked and as you can see, these last few missions have been kind of last second. If you want, I can look for a B-ranked mission for you but I doubt I'll even find that in this stack of papers." Danzo looked at his desk as he spoke, shivering. Whenever he looked into Junan's eyes he felt an uncomfortable aura, kind of scary too. The Hard-headed Overconfident Solid Wall Earth-Styled Otokage

The doors of the building would open not long after the Otokage finished speaking. Stepping through the room, the former first Otokage would walk through the room not even taking taking notice of Junan who had been present within the room. The former Otokage's eyes resembled a stained yellow with snake like pupils. In his days of being Otokage, most of the Otokage's underneath him had maybe been genin or academy students those times. Therefore, everything happening now was nothing more than a mere replay with the exception of a few new faces. As he entered he had caught on some of the conversation that had transpired just a few minutes ago.
"I can see you're handling your position well Danzo." He greeted the Otokage as he made his way towards the desk. " He didn't take any notice of things, but he did in fact wonder what the hurry was all about in escorting Xzaro out of the room. The only thing he had heard before entering the room was the mention of the Hokage which seemed a bit suspicious at first glance however Shishi took nothing of it for the moment at least. "It's not often the Hokage is discussed here. Exactly what business to you have with this figure...." Shishi maliciously smiled as he leaned against his back against the wall, his yellow stained snake eyes clearly resembling his lineage as they rolled towards Danzo.

Shimimaru wasn't far from behind Shishi. His grin was about the only thing that lit up the darkness in the corner where he had stood from as he watched Shishi speak with the Otokage. It wasn't often that Lord Shishi had come to the Otokage's office for business so he decided he would take a break from his work to accompany him. He gave a small giggle at Shishi's words for the simple fact being that it was true that the Hokage was rarely mentioned, at least when it came down to doing business with the Leaf with the current history they held with the village. For something so abrupt to occur, he could tell Shishi sensed something was amidst and that the Hokage and Danzo were communicating on some level. Whatever had been transpired between them had been currently unknown to even Shimimaru himself, but he cared not. As long as it had nothing to do with interfering with his work or Lord Shishi's goals, there was nothing to be concerned about. "Isn't the Otokage supposed to report to the council on any dealings or verbal exchanges taken place between the Otokage and other village kages?" He asked curiously, although he knew himself that Shishi cared not about what was going on.

"Hard work pays off in the end, but I would like to know- what kind of work pays off now?" (What da hell? It's like people automatically post in my office right after posting their profiles! Seriously, someone post in the training grounds or something cause there is like 5 people in my office. evil )
Danzo didn't feel uncomfortable now. With all the people in his office he now felt a little clausterphobic. He didn't suffer from any form of phobia but the fact that so many people of around the same rank were questioning him made him shiver, for he hated it when people were criticizing his work or judging him. He sweated a little as he quickly thought out a reply to all of the questions regarding his relation with the Hokage. "It's uh...nothing guys. Just personal stuff... me and the Hokage go way back..." Danzo smiled a half smile. The Hard-headed Overconfident Solid Wall Earth-Styled Otokage

Shishi said nothing in response to Danzo's reply. The only thing he responded with was the same suspicious grin already present upon his face. He had felt something was a bit off about the Otokage's response however he made nothing of it. However he did notice the slight shiver, which told him that the man was more than likely uncomfortable for whatever reasons. "Come now Shimimaru." He said before turning around and heading for the door. In matters like these, Shishi refused to press the issue for the simple fact being that many things that transpired between kages eventually resurfaced to the light. And when usually when they did, especially those that went against the ways of the village, things tended to go bad for that particular person. ((-exit-))
