I REALLY wanted to get a gun holster and even maybe a ray gun for it, but I couldn't get one in time for the meet up. -_- AND/OR an old pirate like sword and sword sheath.

"Those who revel in the brilliance of the Sun,"

That is very nice! I'd say the ray gun/holster and the cutlass would work splendidly! I really like the hat. If I may ask, the gears on your hat? Are they metal or something else? I can't quite tell from this picture... sweatdrop Otherwise, the only other suggestions I may have are: Some gloves might add a small touch, leather of course, and the boots might need a little more old school flair, like from the PotC movies? But that's just me. I think your outfit is great with or without my suggestions, so don't hold my words as the hippest things in town. Though, I would hold to the ray gun and/or cutlass for sure, especially if you are going the steampunk pirate route. Once again though, my opinion vs yours vs anyone and everyone who replies after me! So have at ye all, ye scurvies! Arrgh! Err hemm... sorry 'bout that. Get a little carried away with meself sometimes, I do.

Okay so there is a story behind the gears on my hat.

I went to Michael s in search of stuff for the outfit and in the scrap booking section, they had these little packs of 12 metal gears, I bought two packs and used those to pin/sew up the over skirt, but I ALSO found a few "masks" for painting or rubbing or something, and when I tried to use them as a stencil for something I ended up painting them gold and I really liked it so I hot glued them to the hat. XD

I think gloves would be awesome, not some delicate kit gloves, but big welding gloves... o.o

I really like it! I would have to agree that a ray gun would look really cool, but a pirate sword would go nicley with the swashbuckling attitude you seem to be portraying, also, may I ask where you got the feather? lol, I really like feathers but all I have right now is a small little phesant feather...

It's 3 plume feathers glued together 2 black and one purple, I wish I had better photos of the hat but I do not. I think I bought them at the Ren Faire, you can get them pretty cheap there.

I dunno how people would take me walking around wit a pirate sword at my side. Haha! But I'd love one.

This is my one and only outfit. Lets just say I've never owned this much brown in my wardrobe in my LIFE. Haha. I'd love to keep trying, but it's hard for me. lol

I like it! Yeah a ray gun or an epic pirate sword would go amazingly with it!! I really need to start working on my own steampunk attire. I've been talking and pondering about it long enough!!

I just spent an entire day off going thrift shopping, and then when I got home I tea-dyed everything that was too white for my taste. I cut up and sewed anything I felt needed to be changed. It was pretty easy. Plus I had an idea in my head of what I wanted to go with and did it.

The vest is the only piece I ordered online. I tried to find a good brown girl's vest thrifting or in real stores, but everything came up dry.
