Sweet Jesus, Frynn!
Rolling for J Faker.
Frynn's 1st Turn!

Frynn has come across the one thing that adventurers love more than cheese ... lewt!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Maybe Frynn wouldn't be living on scraps much longer! Though ... someone else might.

The ruins in question were definitely sunken; the main entrance had water up to the average Bosmer's ankles! Really, who would go sloshing around in that? And what if there were lower levels? They'd have to be filling up with water - unless it drained away somewhere...

What the make of the ruins were couldn't be seen from the outside, as the stone was covered with muck and dirt. However, the door was high arched and well crafted - or might have been at some point.

At any rate, the good news! There was pouch just outside the entrance - perhaps some unfortunate adventurer dropped it in their rush. Regardless, there were 17 gp both inside and scattered just outside the purse!

Congratulations! No roll is needed here. Take what loot you want and make your next event roll!

What was that? That shiney- Money! Dinner tonight!
Frynn's entire mood seemed to lift significantly as he gathered up the coins and stashed them away. All the doubts he had about entering the ruins vanished without a trace... Until he noticed how much water was already filling the sunken structure.

The Bosmer winced and leaned over the edge, curiously. "But... I don't know how to swim..." He said aloud like someone would be listening to him. He looked around for that person, but he was most definitely alone. "Well... the more meals the better, just be fast about it, Frynn." He told himself moving down into the ruins with a goofey, but meaningless smile.

Frynn's Been Roadblocked!
Rolling for J Faker.
Frynn's 2nd Turn!

Frynn has encountered a collapsed pillar!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Fortunately for Frynn, he wouldn't need to swim to continue his trek through the eerie ruins. The water he downed himself into would only reach up to his knees. And we all know even a baby could handle that.

What the Bosmer might not be able to handle, however, was the enormous collapsed pillar that would he would run into in about five seconds if he didn't watch where he was going.

To be fair, the faint glow of spells cast long ago worked against him, as his eyes played tricks with the shadows. It would seem they hid the smaller, less visible path in favour of going over and above, and probably would not allow him to see the holes revealing a larger, expansive room to the left unless he keenly paid attention.

Which was just as well. They were so tiny it would take quite a bit of effort to squeeze even his frame through to the other side. But, on the other hand, compared to the skill needed to climb or jump over the massive pillar, it would be a cakewalk.

You may use any skill you can think of to bypass this problem (you will need to roll at least an 18 with that skill). Otherwise, this turn is over and you must take another route - make your next event roll.

[Acrobatics roll!]

Frynn had been too busy checking out the scenery to notice the large column at first. He turned his head back to face the front just as he was about to run into the solid block. "Oh. How dandy." He commented, backing up. It didn't look that big. He bet it was the lighting that made it harder to tell it's actual size.

A second later he ran at the column as fast as one could whilst wading through water and hurled himself at the stone mass. He felt contact and pulled himself the rest of the way over the large piece of architecture, being sure to check the other side should there be some reason he wouldn't be able to land on the other side of it before he slipped over the edge again.

It's Compass Time for Frynn!

Frynn has come across a large room.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Once over the pillar, Frynn found himself in a small guest hall - well, "small" was relative. There was a long table designed to fit at least twenty people. The glows lighting the wall lit strange designs as the water rippled and reflected the shine; several small doors branched off to the sides, leading several possible paths.

There didn't appear to be anything of value here, at least not easily taken; the stone chairs just weren't worth the effort.

Somewhere in his little heart, Frynn had been hoping to see something wonderful hidden behind the pillar. He was wrong. It was just as boring as the last room, particularly with no food on the table. Though considering the age of the structure, that was proably a good thing.

He climed up onto one of the chairs and hopped from one to the other, keeping out of the water as much as he could. A lot of inanimate things didn't like him, and water was one of them.

Frynn was always a brilliant decision maker. Before he chose a path to go down he spun around 3 times with his eyes closed and pointed in a random direction. Once he'd opened his eyes again, and found that he hadn't actually pointed to a path, he chose one on the other side, just because it was there.

Sof off he went, venturing further into the cold dark, flooded... place.

Battle Time for Frynn!
Rolling for J Faker.
Frynn's 3rd Turn!

Frynn has encountered a(n) glowing creature!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
If inanimate things didn't like him, it seemed like animate things must have disliked Frynn even more.

Or maybe his sense of direction did.

Whichever the case, the path he chose was less well lit than the others, some of the glows actually flickering, and a few actually gone out entirely. The reason wasn't entirely clear, at least not for one unknowledgeable in mystic arts.

As he passed under it, one of the lights above went out ... then came back on, flickering. Faster, then, and again - before breaking free of the wall and pouncing on Frynn's back! It wasn't a light at all, but a mimic spider waiting for prey - and the Bosmer seemed as good as any, to it.

Roll your choice of battle skill before writing any post. If you get higher than me, you win, and may check the monster for loot (if you dare) before your next event roll. If you get lower, you lose 1HP (and the battle) and make your next event roll now. On the event of a tie, wait for my next battle roll!

[Hand to Hand roll]

Frynn stopped when one of the lights seemed to flicker more than the others. He gave it a skeptical glare as he move passed it, but didn't seem to notice aything overly out of the ordinary. At least not until he felt something on his back.

He freaked out instantaniously. His first instinctive move was to move back against the wall to crush the thing between his back and the stone. He felt the critter half caught, legs flailing over his shoulder, and moved away from the wall again, letting the spider fall.
It was still alive for the moment, so he did the next most obvious thing and stomped on it.

Spiders. Frynn hated spiders.

With his back covered in spider goop, Frynn was not overly happy with his adventures so far. Too many things were trying to eat him. It should have been the other way around.
His stomach let out a gurgle, agreeing with that logic. Unfortunately the Bosmer wasn't keen on eating spiders. He could wait till he got back to a tavern or something.

This time as he continued down the darker path, he checked the lighting very carefully for any signs of not-actually-a-light, with his dagger out. Just in case.

A Discovery for Frynn!
Rolling for J Faker.
Frynn's 4th Turn!

Frynn has nearly alerted everyone of their presence by falling over a locked casket!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
At least Frynn wasn't without a light anymore - the spider goop glowed just as brightly as it had, now that it was ... out?

Which would serve the Bosmer well as he passed by a tiny alcove; it was dark, and without the light from the spider he may not have been able to see the small Aleyid casket tucked away inside.

For its age, it was in damn good condition; even the lock was unrusted! But locked it was. And without some way of breaking or breaking into it, he'd never know what was inside.

You may make a lockpicking roll if you wish to try and open the chest, or use any other skill that you think might help. Otherwise, this turn is over, make your next event roll.

[I have no idea how to type IC that he's using it, but he's gonna use 'Tower Key' to open the casket.]

As much as Frynn was creeped out by the goop still glowing, he quickly decided it wasn't so bad afterall when he walked past an alcove of sorts he wouldn't have seen if he wasn't glowing. He did a double take, the wooden box catching his interest, stashed away in the corner.

A smile spread across his smug little face while he reached down to open the casket, hoping for the best. If there wasn't anything special inside he was going to be very upset. He didn't like covering himself in glowing spider goop for nothing.

Frynn wouldn't be disappointed ... at least, hopefully he wouldn't be disappointed. The glowing goop served him well, as did his birthsign. The box opened easily, revealing its contents.

And oh what contents they were.

Inside the casket were a number of coins - 23 gp, to be exact. And besides that? Well there as a lightly jeweled scabbard as well, fit for a dagger; though the weapon was missing, and several of the gems were chipped, it could easily bring 20 gp at the market. Plenty to eat on!

Congratulations! No roll is needed here. Take what loot you want and make your next event roll.

Frynn was more than pleased with his find. He was going to have a huge meal when he got back, for sure. He cheerfully cleared the casket of it's contents, tucking his 'earnings' away wherever he could on his person. "Well this isn't so bad. I'm sure I could get used to it." He commented, because someone or something was always listening to him talk.

He continued in the direction he'd been going before he came across the alcove, just in case he started to loose track of where he was going. There was a difference between the wonderful outdoors and creepy, flooded ruins full of treasure and things that wanted to eat you. The outdoors had more fresh air.

Frynn's Been Roadblocked!
Rolling for J Faker.
Frynn's 5th Turn!

Player 1 has encountered a(n) blocked path!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
Unfortunately, that direction wouldn't be very far at all... Soon the path emptied into a grandiose door... but wouldn't you know - locked! Locked and hiding its contents from the world.

A small waft of fresh air could be smelled here - perhaps there was a way out somewhere nearby.

You may use lockpick if there is a locked door, or any other skill you can think of to bypass this problem.
