Been meaning to ask this, but what the hell is D-Beat?

You know what?

A lot of people like to argue about how D-beat is just a drum sound, and others believe it is just a type of music genre. In my opinion, i classify D-beat as its own music genre. Yes some people think D-beat and crust sound the same, but to me it does not sound the same.

Both type of genres have similar sound, but by listening to a lot of different bands, i can hear the difference.
I also think the lyrics makes a huge impact on what to classify the music genres.
I mean, i have herd of some crazy genres out there!

-D-beat Rock 'n' roll
-D-beat destruction
-Raw d-beat
- D-beat fallout punk???

To me it's all cool. I all so think it all depends on what the band wants people to know them as. like this one band "Warvictims" (check them out if you haven't!) they straight up tell people, they are D-beat. And you know what, i give them props for that.

Lame as it sounds, i am going to support D-beat. Even crust, hell all phuckin punk in fact!

Sounds pretty interesting though.

You're hard pressed to find a straight-up D-Beat band. D-Beat is almost always combined with Crust. Almost. It has been successfully incorporated into other music genres.

Discharge was the band that first did D-Beat. And why is that? Because their drummer sucked... Well, kinda. His "limitations" were what led to this very popular sound, because basically he could only perform a very thin line of beats.

Baby, you don't want to know what Pornogrind is. It's like taking a**l c**t and upping the ******** stupid levels.

I never liked a**l c**t.
Never.

Somebody once said to me "a**l c**t is the band that everyone listens to but they deny that they do". I had to correct her with "No, a**l c**t is the band everyone says they listen to but nobody really does."

Because they suck.
Although, Pig Destroyer is pretty top notch Grindcore. I'm hard to please when it comes to Grindcore.
