Bio: Kice is a runaway and has lived on the streets since she was 12. She has become an excellent thief and currently lives in an abandoned apartment building.
Personality: (human and Demon) Kice is independent, cunning, and stubborn. Laly is loyal, protective, and sensible.
Other: When Laly is not in her wolf form, she's usually in the form of a silver hawk.

Appearance: (human, then demon(animal))
Bio: Aler is a spoiled rich girl who loves to get into trouble. She breaks every rule her parents make and is Kice's best friend.
Personality: (human and Demon) Aler is a troublemaker, adventurous, and sometimes rude. Hoon is malicious and mischievous, cruel and dangerous.

Kice was sitting in a tree, about to eat an apple. Laly was in her hawk form, perched next to Kice. "Kice, do you hear something?" Laly asked, cocking her head to one side.
"You know I don't have hawk ears." Kice said, as a bit of a joke. But she stopped to listen anyways. "You know, I think I do. Wanna go check it out?" And before Laly could reply, Kice had jumped out of the tree and was running towards the sound.
Laly took flight after Kice, hoping that her friend wouldn't find trouble.
Kice stopped running as she saw a boy sitting under a tree. She approached him slowly until she was standing in front of him. "Um, hey." She said to get his attention. She held out the apple that she was going to eat, offering it to him with a smile.

Aler sat at her bedroom window, waiting for Kice to show up. "Where is that crazy street urchin?" She said irritably.
"Maybe she got run over by a car." Hoon said, coming to sit next to her. "I'm bored. Can I go chase a cat or something?"
Aler glared at Hoon. "No. We said that we'd wait for Kice, so we will."
"Actually, you said that you'd wait. I made no such promise." Hoon retorted, but he stayed where he was.

(I just noticed that Kice and Lupine have the same pants, only in a different color. What are the odds?)

"Kice, at your service." Kice said, with a mock bow. She straightened up and took a bite of the apple, smiling at the boy. "And you are, sad boy?"
When the boy's fox had come forward protectively, Laly had turned into her wolf form. She now sat at Kice's side, loyally waiting to see what Kice might do.

Aler watched as a girl chased her deamon in the form of a lynx. She grew more irritated at Kice's tardiness.
Hoon's ears perked up as the feline ran past. He bared his teeth in a malicious smile. "Can I chase it?"
Aler glared out the window for a moment. "If she won't come to us, we'll just go to her." She climbed out the window and Hoon leapt out after her. He bolted after the lynx.

Hoon skidded to a halt at the sight of the wildebeest. Aler was only 16, but already Hoon was having trouble transforming into something else. He was settling into his permanent form too soon.
"Hoon, just leave it. It's not worth the effort." Aler said, casting a disgusted glance at the wildebeest.
Hoon stopped baring his teeth and straightened up. "You're right. I have more dignity than this." He licked his fangs, as if to say I could take you if I wanted to, but you're beneath me.
The pair left, going to look for Kice.

"Alright, Lupine. But you should know, I nickname everyone. I'm terrible with names." Kice said, giving him a wink. She laughed, a light carefree sound, and said, "Besides, you should lighten up. The world isn't all gloom and doom."

Kice suddenly grew serious. "You see this scar?" She said, pointing to her right cheek. "I've seen my fair share of sh*t in this world."
Laly grew tense, knowing what Kice was about to say.
"I left my home when I was twelve because my father abused me," Kice continued. She didn't mention her mother. "And I can still smile, even after all the horrible things he did to me. So unless you've had worse done to you, don't act like the world hates you. Because I know what it feels like to be hated." She clenched her fist and took a deep breath, trying to suppress the memories of her childhood. A flash of blood clouded her mind for a moment, then she was back in control. When she looked at Lupine again, she had that carefree smile back on her face. "Look, all I'm saying is that there's always a silver lining. Life is what you make of it." She took another bite of her apple, studying the boy in front of her. Then she reached into her satchel and pulled out another piece of fruit, offering it to him. "Seriously, take it. You look starved."

"I'm Laly." The wolf said. "Not short for anything either." She added with a smile.
Kice was glad that Lupine accepted the fruit. Food was the best way to diffuse tension, in her opinion. She sat down across from Lupine and continued to eat her apple.
