In the Safety briefing, they Colonel says that "they are extremely hard to kill." because of their natural-re-occurring carbon fibers and what not. But in the battle you see them get killed in two shots and you see Tsu-tey get knocked back in a few as well. What happened there? Also use this as a thread to talk about the combat between the Na'vi and humans.

Yeah they have guns, but still. The Colonel knew they had guns and said they were extremely hard to kill. But it didn't show.

Tsu'Tey died in a deleted scene where his queue was cut off and he asked Jake to end his life honorably. Also, armor-piercing rounds can break through carbon fiber and destroy organs.

Plus keep in mind: It is mentioned that pound by pound they are weaker. So all you have to do is concentrate in a certain spot to kill them. Yes I was sad when Tsu'tey died...

Well, Tsu tey got hit with like 5 or 6 rounds; that ought to be enough to kill him. He also fell from really, really high up. Even if he tried to do the leaf-grabbing thing, it wouldn't have worked from that high.

We also see Norm in his Avatar form get hit in the chest, but he survives.

She's right about Tsu tey but Norm's avatar did die but not him.

Someone said that They saw both norm and his avatar standing in line when they kicked the humans out.

There's been a lot of confusion about Norm. Maybe his avatar did die.

And maybe the Colonel exaggerated when he said the Na'vi are very hard to kill. He also says that every living thing on Pandora wants to kill you, and that Pandora is worse than hell.

I could be wrong I only saw the movie once but even if Norm's Avatar didn't die only he could use it right..?

Yeah, the Colonel was wrong about a lot. The lemurs didn't want to kill anybody and neither did the swirling bugs. And Norm's Avatar did die, otherwise he would've gone back in. The other avatar drivers were aloud to stay and one probably looked liked Norm's.
