I guess since this a new forum, about life, I figure I could start with the first few posts. Basically, I plan to use this to inform people about what's going on in life, good or bad. I'd appreciate feedback or comments, and I'm sure other people who use this will too. biggrin
(Don't be shy to post your problems/ good times here too!!! biggrin )
p.s. sweatdrop I wasn't sure if i was supposed to put this here or in the Chatterbox. Oh well.

The Good:
A few days ago, my school had its weekly Break-dancer's club session. An announcement was made by the teacher supervising that Meadow Brooke wanted to challenge us. Everyone was excited.
The Bad:
Unfortunately, they are a lot better then we expected, so we all began to practice and train hard. However, one of our most advanced and probably our best dancer handpicked people he thought were good enough to participate. They were all members of his private crew.
My Problem(s):
1.) Since Meadow Brooke Challenged us as a club team, not a crew, should I, being club Vice President, ban this individual from the battle and let everyone compete?
2.) Should I, the one who started the club and the first few crews at BHMS, take over leadership from the current club President?
Your advice and tips are REALLY appreciated. smile

It's not always about a person, or being the best..
"everyone" holds a part in a group ~
*For example, there's this one quote in our school band:
"One band, One Sound"
As to answer your questions ~
1) I think you should talk and work it out, as you are right ~ you're doing it as a "club" *not a crew of "the best"
*Of course you'd like to "win" ..but it's not always about competing.
Even if you win or lose, you should always have fun, and practice more..
2) As to your second question, I think you just want power here! xD

You're probably right about the second one. But I still don't know about letting him compete. He IS our best though... And Meadow Brooke IS really good. confused

Uwaaah, don't ban anyone. Just explain to your hotshot player that this is a team effort and everyone's getting a chance.
If the president isn't handling this situation... take his job. Most school club presidents start things for fun
and never realize how much work they actually need to put into it. sweatdrop
I sympathize with your situation.

Light first comes as grains, and then as waves... I agree!
Talk to this pretentious individual and give him a warning about his actions. If he keeps repeating them, THEN you can consider banning him.
Also, you should probably talk to the president about his responsibilities too.

biggrin Thanks you guys. Your advice really helped. We talked to him and he just wants to help our school reputation. Turns out Meadow Brooke forfeit because they couldn't get enough people to come.
Also, there is a Bboy jam on the 29th, and one of our club tutors is gonna defend his title as king of the gazebo. I might enter. Pm me for more details. (if you want them)
Any other PUSD breakdancers need to watch out cause BHMS is getting GOOD.
