Why do you program/Why are you learning to program?

It allows me to create things and be creative, to realize ideas. It is also a very useful tool, also for making money.
I enjoy it, it is something I can sit and do for hours on end - day in and day out for weeks at a time. Part of the thrill for me is solving problems.
plus the fact that i can help others that wouldent even know the first thing about starting there computer lol "grandma"

Me. I do so because I spend the majority of my days and time on the computer, so I decided that if I was going to spend this much time on it, I should try to do programming and stuff, now that I am getting the handle of it, I can now help my mom who needs the most help with computers.
Because my programming skills are getting better I am planning on making a site of my own.

but some where in other scripts that
mainly big e commerce company's use!

well i wanted to become a programmer and learn scripting
because "Advocate my child hood friend"
took it up and whenever eather of us struggled with something we help one another out!

we have brought each other a long way since we were kids
and now look we both program and were both in the military lol

So hi I'm Tari and this is why/what I want to program

All my life people have told me that I live in my own little world and after much thinking about it I realized I do, but its geting lonely up there in my head.

I had a web page that was run by a friend and we had a falling out so I changed the pass so she could not say bad things about me on my own site, I wanted to change some things one day and could not find any friend who knew how to help so I looked it up on my own and found that to me a least HTML and other web development languages were not that hard.


Later when attending a local Collage for HTML & Java I found out the web and game development use a lot of the same programing Languages, So I figured why not make the world in my mind come to life?

So my goal is to make a huge mmo-rpg that the world is so realistic that it will have and eco system with weather and plants that go to seed and spread and even animals that bread if not killed


I'm looking both to learn more of the programing code I need to make it come to life but also any other help or tips I can get.


I know I will need lots more practice before just magically creating a game.

sweatdrop have you ever had one of those things you cant get out of you head.... you know you never will unless you make it come to life? this is mine.... I've been working on this with very little help since I was 18, This April I turn 27. This is not just some passing idea I'm going to give up on.
