Every so often, you might lose control of your cursor. It starts clicking on things and scrolling around pages on its own even though you have taken your hands off both the mouse and keyboard. I've seen other people mention this problem in various Ubuntu communities, Does anyone have any ideas? This generally happens while I'm using Firefox, but its happened with other apps, as well. I have regular PS/1 mouse.

I been told that there is a slight risk of a virus(i.e. hi jacker) that is doing it, or just that the mouse or program is overloading, causing the computer to get confused.

one question to ask yourelf is that Is this random behavior or purposeful?
it's could be someone els from a far off planet!!! lol highly unlikely but is possible.. anyways if it's acctually clicking things built for security or important doc.. you've been hacked although it's very hard and rare.
just shut you're w/o usuing your shutdown from the start menu! computer down and post in these forums for assistance ASAP

Dell laptops w/ built-in keypad sometimes slowly
float the cursor to the top of the screen on their own.
(no matter what OS)
