heart How did u guys get into puzzleshipping? heart
I started watching Yu-Gi-Oh on CartoonNetwork and WB and I must admit, I thought it was kinda lame 'cuz Tea kept on talking about freindship and it got on my NERVES! evil But then I was introduced to Yami and then it clicked, Yami and Yugi looked soooo cute together! 4laugh So I started searching for lots of YamixYugi sites, fanfiction,pics,etc. So now....heh,heh....I'm addicted. sweatdrop So what's ur guys' stories?? 3nodding heart

I got into Yami and Yugi paring from reading fan fic's about it and I can stop from reading stories with them being together.

Good topic idea. Always nice to have peoples in the guild to come up with these great ideas when I don't. biggrin
My story.
I should preface this by saying that I started watching the series after the movie came out a year or so ago. After seeing the movie I fell in love with the series and started the series from the last four episodes 220-224...so I saw the ending before I saw the rest. Then I back tracked from there...along with rereading the manga in the Jump which I had stopped reading because I got bored with it.
I also, contrary to the way it looks now I guess, never looked for Yaoi in the series. I tend to keep that where it belongs in Yaoi and shounen-ai stuff. Did I think it was wrong for people to pair them up -not really. Not unless it's some pairing that's so far out there that it's not even possible (and the fandom has a shitload of these) The pairings I support though are ones that over time have been proven to me via the series, manga or have been shown as being in potential. Even if I don't like a pairing if there's proof I am inclinded to accept it -but it has to be well researched proof and not 'so and so caught so and so in this episode that so proves it'. I'm a person who, even in their fanon, looks to canon for proof and other's do as well.
Now onto how I got into Puzzleshipping...
I got into Puzzleshipping RPing with Alchemist_Gal in an RP that wasn't orginally supposed to go in that direction but it just sort of happened, though I'm sure some people might say we planned it that way or something. Which was sooooo not the case. I wasn't even a puzzleshipper when I joined the RP I just loved the series and wanted to play Yugi. Then I discovered the proof...or the potential for them to be a pairing...and in my opinion it's undeniable proof to be honest. They have something really deep with one another and their bond and how it works is proof of that. They are so aware of each other -like soul mates are and soul mates make the best life mates after all in my opinion.
Anyway...I'm a puzzleshipper now and it won't change no matter what arguements people might give me to say it's not there...I have a counter for each and every one of them. domokun

Ah, the memories this brings up. *Nostalgic sigh* whee heart
I started watching Yugioh when KidsWB first showed it, but at that time I had difficulty catching the episodes since they aired them so quickly. I was able to watch a few and I liked it. (Heck, I even taped a couple eps just to be able to watch them whenever I wanted. X3) Unfortunately, my watching it was an off and on thing until Orichalcos Doom Arc. Things had kind of slowed down a bit so I could watch all of the episodes by that time. :3
That was when it clicked for me. After that, I ravaged and pillaged scoured and searched the internet for Puzzleshipping goodness and I've been hooked since. whee heart
Puzzleshipper for now and forever! Woot! whee heart

well i was surfing the net looking for Ryou x Yuugi
(i know sweatdrop i thought Ryou was semeish tho xd )
then i came across this jap website that has Yugi x Yami stuff on it and took a liking to it smile
back then tho it wasent as strong but its now my all time fav shonen-ai couple ever ^__^
(yep im straight forward when i say this to, not just saying cause of a binge)
they had so many pics on there O__O and now i cant find that website anymore sad

My friend first introduced me to yaoi through Yuugiou. The first couple she showed me was rivalshipping(SetoxYuugi), though, and at the time I wasn't really a huge fan of that. So I went looking into some other pairings from the show that I might like. It was right around the end of duelist Kingdom, and I had just began my Yami obsession(For some reason I hated his character when the show first came out, now I love him!) and so I was looking into pairings with him. I guess puzzleshipping just sort of stuck out to me, probably because this was the point in the show where it really became noticeable(Yuugi's duel with Mai, and the duel with Pegasus.) So yeah, puzzleshipping just sort of stuck.
It's isn't a very cool story sweatdrop .

khenemetset I got into Puzzleshipping RPing with Alchemist_Gal in an RP that wasn't orginally supposed to go in that direction but it just sort of happened yeah, actually....thats how i got into it....cause before i was mainly a Yami/Yugi X Joey person (it was the first yaoi thing i ever saw) and then there was YamiXKaiba (love hate...blah) but then Khenemetset joined the first RP i made...heh...which was funny...and then it just kinda went in that direction cause we are losers who are always online and the only other person that was on there was never on...and they got mad........WOW im off topic... ok...cliff note version...RPs did it >.> i could have made it that easy...

I got into puzzleshipping after stumbling across a fic with a YamixYugi pairing. Before that, shouneni-ai/yaoi squicked me out like nothing else, but after reading that story, I started getting into puzzleshipping, and I wrote my first such fic last year, called High School Love, which to this day remains my most loved story smile I also started searching for fics and pics with puzzleshipping, and now it's my OTP smile

Okay, here's my story.
One day, I was doing searches on the net for Dragonball Z stuff and I found some site that had DBZ fanfiction in them. I got curious and read the stories and was hooked on fanfiction. Anyway, I started to do searches for fanfiction sites over the net and I found a site called Fanfiction.net. I signed up for it, but then I kinda left the site and didn't come back for a long time. I did searches for fanfiction both at home and at school. Anyway, I was really in to Yu-Gi-Oh and I always thought that Yami and Yugi looked so cute together, but not in a romantic way......but I did realize that they were very close. Okay, so I decided to do a search for Yu-Gi-Oh fanfiction on the net. Once again, I found Fanfiction.net and I remembered that I had signed up for it a while back so I logged in and started searching for Yu-Gi-Oh fics that centered around Yami and Yugi. (again, I still didn't think of them as a couple) I found this story.
Wings of ruby and amethyst by Lily Maxwell the Dark Angel.
I got curious...so I clicked on the link to it and started reading it and I kept on reading it both at home and at school. The story got to the point where it got into the yaoi part of it and I was like wow. I felt really embarrassed while trying to read that part of it, but for some reason I kept on reading....until finally I stopped feeling embarrassed and really got into it. Once I finished reading that story, I went to find others like it and that's how I came to love puzzleshipping and all yaoi period. That story also changed the way I thought about people who were that way, you know? At first, I didn't mind people like that, but I wouldn't defend them or anything. I'm really asamed to admit that, but it's true. Now, though, I defend them. I'm proud to and I also have friends who are like that. ^^

Hmm.. Actually, my first yaoi that was introduced to me was YamiBakuraXRyou.. They sound sweet at first, but then Yami Bakura sometimes gets a little too violent. xp Not a very pretty couple, but otherwise, quite cute. Then, after a little google search, I stumbled across the YamiYugiXYugi. At first, I find it cocky, but when I thought, 'Hey, Ryou's Yami is his yaoi bf, so why not Yugi have his yami as a bf?' then I started to like this couple. 3nodding A very simple story indeed..

hmm lessee, I actually found Yamixyugi thing by accident I used to be a huge fan of the show but it can get pretty annoying anyway I was looking up yami and yugi and I found pics of them kissing. Unfortunitly I was a public library at the time and all my friends thought I had done it purposely, anyway after awhile I kept finding them by accident, fanfics and stuff and finally my couriosity got the better of me and I kinda got addicted to it. but now my friends think I'm perverted ^^;;;

At first I thought it was weird.. cause I sorta had a cartoon crush on Yuugi. xD
But then over the times of finding web sites and finding fan fictions of the two together.. It just somehow absorbed into me and I enjoyed it. :O

whee don't really know how I got into it... I used to watch the show, and then I started reading the manga. I was looking for some storylines from the manga/show, other people's takes... and up came some fan fic
at first, I was like eek but I started reading... and have been hooked ever since! XD
