Summary: Sadie Hawking is stunned to find out that Colin Baker, the man who murdered and raped her young sister Jennifer, was just declared innocent in the court of law due to lack of physical evidence. Furious and still heavily grieved by the death of her sister, Sadie does something she never thought she could do: after weeks of mad, extensive planning, she kidnaps her sisters murderer, with every intention of making him suffer twice as much as Jennifer did.
With parents too focused on their grief to notice her absence, and having the convenient sole knowledge of an underground bomb shelter long abandoned, things are going well for Sadie; Colin is more or less a manageable captive, she's found a surprising amount of fun in varying methods of torture, and though she's well aware she's gone completely mad, she feels the results of her madness are fully justified under the circumstances.
Yes, everything's fine...until the police knock on the door one day, happy to tell her they caught the real killer....
