Okay, so Nintendo decided to go with a train for ST, which really wasn't too big of a logical jump from a steamboat, plus you have to factor in the 100 years /since/ the steamboat, so, yeah. I think, however, that it is really strange of them to keep basically everything else about the world. It almost feels like an anachronism, but then again, you accept it because hey, whatever, the train is fun. If we have trains, I feel like we're moving up into the 1800s-ish-era of Hyrule. Spirit Tracks is undoubtedly the "last" game in the series so far, timeline-wise that is (because it branched off the previous last game, PH, which branched off WW, etc...) but that's where the Steampunk stops. Everything else is acceptable Zelda fare. What happened to continuity? If Ninty is going to make a time-period jump, I wish it had permeated the game instead of feeling like it was cast over it like a net.
I'm not sure if anyone is going to get what I'm trying to say. Lol.

I know what you're saying but..... I dunno if you noticed this but Nintendo is way too lazy to change the whole world into a steam punk world. Wind Waker was the biggest world change they ever did, I doubt they world recreate something that already makes them assloads of money. ninja

What should we remember about how you said the trains came in about the 1800s is that it's zelda so we all the know the timeline is a bundle mess

I just feel like they could have gone so much farther with it...hell, they could have made an awesome machine-themed dungeon or something. I can only hope this means that the Zelda team is just too hard at work making Zelda Wii to make the effort emo

They've been busy with SS for a while, so everything else is gonna be "meh" or put aside, or unchanged as you pointed out.
:/ I woulda' loved a steampunk-ish Zelda game, that sounds pretty good and fun....But ah well, we can only daydream :/
