This is one of Oto's landmarks, dating back to the founding of the village where the legendary Orochimaru supposably summoned a snake to defend the village from invaders at one point. This statue is a large one, standing where the summoning jutsu was supposably performed.

There was a man sitting silently next to the snake monument, the landmark stood proudly as its shiny features played continuously off of the bright afternoon sun. Drakza Mosou was his name, a missing-nin from the flame village. He defected for his own reasons, betrayal of his clan, murder of his family, and the blackmail of his little brother...but his little bro was the only human that knew of it besides Drakza himself. Those details are not important. Drakza was now a proud member of the Sound Village, his inspiration was the infamous Orichimaru, whose status he hoped to achieve himself one day.
Drakza was participating in the usual, meditating before the brilliance of the snake statue. Being in the presence of this monumental carving gave Drakza a sense of peace, letting him clear his mind for whatever is bound for him that day. Asking for guidance and strong will for his next battle, at whatever moment it partakes. Whether it be five minutes from now or five months. Drakza opened his eyes for a brief moment and resumed to meditate humming lowly to himself. "Hummmmmm Hummmmmm Hummmmmm" taking long drawn out syllables as he enunciate each part.
The weather was perfect, the sun was out, there was a light breeze just enough to comfort the brow. Drakza still motionless in his meditation, only moving to take long deep breaths. Drakza twitched with a jolt of energy surged through his body for split second as he felt a jump in his chakra. He look up to the statue as if speaking to an actual person rather than a statue, "We have visitors." Drakza heard the comotion at the villages gates. They were close knit, this suggested that they had a particular purpose for being here, but aside from Drakza's hostile personality he gave every shinobi the benefit of the doubt whether they be origin of the Sound Village or unexpected guests, genin or Kage, big or small. Drakza sat back down and continued to meditate keeping a cautious awareness of the location of the visitors.

Standing upon the head of the snake monument, a shadowy figure stood watching from above. His spiky hair blew silently through the breezing winds. His left eye remained mysteriously closed, while the right golden eye peered through the grassy landscape of the sound searching for any signs of odd activity in the area. He was a missing-nin of the Flame village, who would be charged with the utilization of forbidden jutsu and theft of a highly important and dangerous object of value. However none knew of these events except for himself and a designated few.
It was around those times in which these series of events happened when Carsaik defected from the Flame. He felt that the village was hindering the rate of his growth in power. Their restrictions on his techniques in which they referred to as forbidden jutsu were a burden to his growth in power. It was no other place besides the sound village where he could go and increase his skills exponentially beyond the comprehension of any Ashitaka or flame ninja. Seeing that there was nothing further he could learn from the Flame, he defected from the village and has been in the Sound ever since.
Carsaik glanced down to find another besides himself in the area. Spinning the sheathed Saigatsumune around a few times, he cleaved away a large chunk of stone from the head of the monument with the sheer blunt force of the sheath. The chunk of sliced stone weighing approximately 20lbs fell directly for Draktza's head, threatening to crush the surface of his skull hadn't he defended against the small attack. With that Carsaik slung Saigatsumune back in place around his back before sliding down the monument. Once he landed, on the ground, he cocked his head sideways before smirking.
"So you're the Mosou that defected from the Flame." He smirked.

The large stone fell bluntly as Drakza sat still in his meditation. Drakza then, with his eyes closed he caught the stone with his left hand a split-second before it made contact with his head. Then with the flick of his wrist the stone jolted from his palm into a nearby tree, embedding itself into the bark. Drakza lowered his hand and continued to meditate, not to even look or smirk at the shinobi that stood above him on the statue. His facial expression never changing.
Drakza spoke with his eyes still closed a deep voice bellowed out "I am the Mosou that defected from the flame village. I left that worthless clan and its leader for they held me back in my training and my further advancement upon a personal level. The only thing worth a damn in that clan is my little brother, he has potential and i feel he may aventually come for my death once he grows stronger. He's only a genin, but a genin not to be taken lightly. Anyways lets get off the subject of my life and talk a little about yours. I feel that your defection was upon similar reasons."
Drakza dusted the few pebbles that lay on his clothes from catching the stone to the ground below him. Drakza took his time getting up from his meditation position, as his figure slowly came to his feet. Now opening his eyes and directing them towards the man standing before him he said "So what is your opinion on our new Kage here in the sound village? If we can even acknowledge him at that rank. If you ask me he's a little frightened of his position." Drakza folded his arms as he awaited Carsaik's response as he looked up toward the shadow engulfed figure on the statue, squinting his eyes from the bright sun that was directly behind the man.

The man's senses were pretty acute for a Mosou, and so Carsaik gave him the benefit of the doubt for now until proven otherwise. Meanwhile, Carsaik leaned against the stone monument before folding his arms. Listening to the man's story, he nodded in return. His reasons for defecting from the flame were for similar reasons as his own but not exactly. Still he had no reason to explain his reasons for defecting from the village. The answer was simple, they held him back from growing in power and nothing more.
"The reasons for my defection was to increase my own power where my clan and village sought to hinder it."
He responded with a low chuckle. As for his opinions on the kage, Carsaik felt that the man wasn't fit for Otokage over the village. The only reason he had joined the village was to increase his own power without any restrictions interrupting that process. Beyond that was just as irrelevant as the Otokage that ruled this village. The man was weak and held no authority whatsoever in his village. He held little respect for those chunin leveled kage who slung authority around their village as if they were at their position for more than thirty years.
"The Otokage is weak and coward. His death will come in due time."

A cloud of smoke dispersed through the area as Amasha appeared on top of the snake monument using the bodyflicker. She noticed the small piece of stone embedded in the bark of the tree before turning towards Carsaik and the new guy in the area. On her back was the Dual Eclipse sword placed diagonally behind with straps that bound it to her back due to it's broadness. Looking down she could tell that a large chunk had been broken off and she also noticed the stone embedded into bark was adjacent to to the missing piece on the monument. It could easily be inferred that someone was either training here or a small skirmish had taken place.
"I had a feeling you would be here. Must be training. Careful not to break away the lovely monument. It's suppose to be a symbol of respect for the founder of the village."
She teased knowing that Carsaik probably could careless of the monument. The monument probably nothing more than a mere lump of stone in his eyes but he could at least pretend to have a little respect for these things. Jumping from the monument she would land in the middle of the space that separated Carsaik from the other guy in distance. For the time being she said nothing to the new guy, but she could tell that the man had seen his share of blood in his days. It was the eyes that gave a small glimpse background on most of the guys in this village. Beading her eyes over to Carsaik, she shrugged.
"I don't know where you recruit these guys but where exactly are you going with this Carsaik?"
She shrugged her shoulders. The reason she had said this was because some time ago Carsaik had recruited the genin Makashi to his side also without telling Shishi about it. She could still remember the day Carsaik recruited her because she was the first one. Unlike most of the missing-nin in the village she saw no hatred in his eyes, only ambition. Still she never pressed the question. Whatever plans he had she would support him from here on out.

The earlier rat that had been sent to Shishi had now made it's way into the snake monument. As it scurried onward it would arrive at Carsaik's feet with a piece of parchment held in between it's teeth. Lowering the parchment on the ground, the paper would read:
Get your men ready. It seems Danzo made a move. So I will proceed in making my own. So all of these children will be apprehended. Until then no one is to escape the prison until I'm done with Danzo.

Carsaik grabbed the letter and read through it thoroughly. The only thing he did was crumple the paper up before tossing it over his shoulder. He had no concern for what went on in the cells. Most of the prisoners were cursed ridden victims of the curse seal. Shimimaru was in control of that area, he should be able to clean up his own mess. If he was strong enough to take them from their cells for experimenting then he should be just as strong to clean up the mess that he left behind. It was one thing for Carsaik to erase something from the face of the world, but it was another for him destroy something where another had failed, especially when the target were mere curse shinobi. He turned his head towards Amasha and began walking towards the exit of the snake monument.
"Team Neko will continue what it's been doing since day one. Joining the Sound Village didn't change anything, only the setting."
He didn't tell Drakza his real reason for leaving the village, he only gave the same reason Drakza had left. It was something that he hadn't told anyone, least of all some Mosou from the Flame Village. Until proven otherwise, Drakza was an average opponent but wasn't something to be taken serious. At the same time he would still find himself a spot on Team Neko. Carsaik may have not have had munch thought on Drakza's abilities but because he was from Agnigakure perhaps they could be useful. Once he made it across the exit of the snake monument, he would head to the Rock Country. ((-exit-))

Amasha only laughed. He was purposely no telling her but she wouldn't pressed the question. Apparently he had a plan, and she would give her all to support it. They had been cooped in the Sound for far too long now. She made sure her sword was strapped tightly behind her back and began leaping through the treetops behind Carsaik. The business of serving Shishi was becoming old and there were personal missions she had to take care of. The only reason she had come to the Sound Village was to meet up with Carsaik. Deep down, she honestly felt that he was far from the type who would stand for taking orders from others. There was something that he was planning, but he was telling the rest of them. Not even her. Still, she would continue on the plan at hand and continue the mission.exit

A small black cat would stroll through the high grasses until it curled into a small furry ball a couple of meters from the snake monument. The sounds of metal meeting stone could be heard loud from above the snake monument. By the time one would look above, they would notice the entire head of the stone snake cleaved cleanly in half as it came rushing towards the ground. Anyone under it would be crushed to death on impact, however Carsaik wasn't paying attention to what was below. Swinging Saigatsumune back into it's sheath across his back, he would stare out into the horizon. Dusting his cloths off, he stared out into the horizon just before the small black vanished from the high grasses and suddenly appeared on the shoulder of Carsaik. Strangely, Carsaik didn't seem to respond to the cat's presence, however he did smirk on one particular memory that ran passed his mind. Meeting with his clansmen the flame shinobi had sparked something different in him. Folding his arms, he clenched his fists into balls before curling up a side grin that gave him an expression similar to the sly cat hunched across his shoulders. Whatever it was his mind was conjuring up, it didn't look to good judging from his expression. However just as fast as this expression came, it vanished just as quickly before Carsaik began sliding down the snake monument. Landing on the ground with a thud, he began walking out into the open where his team usually met with him.

It wasn't before long that Netsuro appeared in the area of the Snake Monument. As he dragged himself into the open area where Casaik stood, he would stand still for a couple of seconds as he noticed the headless snake statue. In return he would only shrug before sluggishly walking up to Carsaik.
"I tell you. This place can be bland sometimes. Not many to kill these days. The villages are uptight with the tailed beasts running loose."
His tone was rough and ragged, as if he had swallowed cartons and cartons of cigarettes. Cracking the bones in his shoulders, he turned around and leaned against the stone snake that had sunken into the ground earlier. Leaning against the rock, he would began digging and twisting the crossed shaped spear into his flesh. His right wrist was pierced with spines that went through and out and his left hand seemed to be bandaged from some past injury, not that he needed it. If one would look closely they would notice many injuries where the man had stabbed himself with the cross shaped weapon through his chest. For what reasons, only his opponent would find out. Digging in his left ear, Netsuro would glance upward towards Carsaik.
"I'd sure like to get my hand on one of those things. I really wonder how one would taste. I don't suppose many have eaten tailed beast before but I would certainly like to be the first one." He said in his usual tired rugged voice.

Amasha appeared in the area using the bodyflicker, causing smoke to lift from the ground where she landed. She noticed Carsaik and Netsuro had already made it to the meeting spot. Even in the Sound not many ventured off into this area. Everyone was fully aware that the lot of them hung around here, and no one particularly seemed to protest every time they noticed larger and larger amounts of the monument being damaged. The previous kage that once ruled here by default had gone to soft. In the time she had been here, there was no one other than Shishi who had ruled this village. Shishi brought fear into this village unlike any other, and as an Otokage turned council ninja of the Sound, his authority still reigned unchallenged. Now that she thought about it, Shishi had been quiet for some days now. Usually when it was like this, the old man was either up to something or cooking something up deep down in the labs with the village's scientist Shimimaru. Stepping into the blade of grass, Amasha leaned against a tree a few feet away from where Carsaik and Netsuro.
"So I'm guessing we can expect something big since we haven't heard from Shishi in a while." She said brushing her bangs from her forehead."

Makashi came walking into the area throwing the kage hat into the air. How he got this was beyond even himself. The kid was always up to something and just as sneaky as he was he knew the Kage would coming looking for it or he would just make another one. Makashi threw it up one more time before grabbing it and placing it one his head. Makashi then looked out towards the monument and seen that Carsaik, Netsuro, and Amasha where already there talking. It seemed like the whole gang was here now.
"So where is the kage. I heard the new one was suppose to be this strong talker. Oh i got a new hat also. It just fits me so well you know."
Makashi started laughing at his comment but, it was true the new kage was a strong talker. Even so Makashi knew the Carsaik only want to know if he was powerful if he could actually handle the shinobi in the sound village.

Carsaik had been busy tightening the bandages around his left arm by the time the rest of Neko had approached the monument. Grinning, he took notice as each member of Team Neko took their positions at the snake monument. As each of them took their stands, he dipped his chin and sighed as he strapped the bandages over chained weights before strolling towards the middle of the central area of the monument. Listening to each of them from Netsuro to Amasha, and lastly the brat Makashi was like a pain sometimes but they were still significantly necessary to the team. On the note of the two subjects they brought up. Carsaik only believed in himself and himself only. Matters pertaining to the newly appointed Otokages these days were not of concern to him, especially with how Danzo proved himself to be weakest link in all the line of kage. But that was another story. His main priority was achieving Team Neko's objectives. Politics were for people like Shishi, while he himself preferred to be on the front lines when it boiled down to executing missions. Speaking of missions, he had some business to take care of with the last remaining members of that mist swordsman's organization. Running from them was one thing, but hiding was another. He would eventually find them, even if he had to reduce every rock and pebble to magma in the Land of Earth. He could feel that something big was approaching, and things were about to get really interesting for both him and the team. He was already prepared, however the only true question that lingered was if the rest of the world was prepared. Not that he cared, he only saw fit to what he could get out of it.
"We'll see. As long as he doesn't get in the way, he can keep his life. Other than that I couldn't care any less about who's being appointed." At that moment Carsaik's hand would settle upon the tip of what seemed to be a handle of a peculiar sheathed sword. "I got some business to handle involving this ugly piece of scrap, but I'll have to put that to the side for now. There's other things I have to deal with."
He said pointing towards what was no other than one of the 'supposed' swords of the mist. He had gained it from the corpse of a Kaguya he had defeated back in the Earth Country. These swords were supposed to be just as special as their owners, however the Kaguya possessed none of the factors that described these mist shinobi, forcing Carsaik to believe that this and the rest of the mist swords were no different at all. If there was anything he would do with it, he use it to humiliate the current Mizukage and probably kill hhim with their own blade to further humiliate the village itself. Of course the other swordsman would come seeking their deaths, and he would do just that...issue it to each and every one of them.

All this time had pass by and Netsuro was just noticing the mist sword resting at Carsaik's waist. Now that he thought about it, he was supposed to take care of that other little runt from Vengeance. Yes, he would have proved to be a delicious little snack. Sadly enough, it must have been too good to be true. Their leader had fallen so early in battle that it left no time to do anything. Netsuro twisted the cross spear deeper into his flesh causing a small stream of blood to trickle down the length of the spear. Looking in Makashi's direction, he would bodyflicker leaving behind a cloud of smoke. Appearing behind the kid, Neturo's hand would stretch out and grab the kid by the top of the head. Makashi was the youngest of the group, which made him an easy target for someone to mess around with from time to time. Well, this kind of messing around was a bit different with Netsuro and could sometimes be painful. Squeezing the boy's head, he dip his head further next to the boy's ear as if whispering something. However he did not whisper anything, he only squeezed the kid's head harder and harder until. A grizzly smile would form underneath the dry pale skin of the hideous creature's face.
"I really don't like you kid." As if he had room to talk. Netsuro could practically be the easiest person in the group nominated on a scale of the hardest to get a long with. Either he had dismissed that fact or he was completely oblivious to it.
If Makashi didn't do anything to get this wretched creature from him, he would find the bones on the surface of his small beginning to crack under the weight of the pressure exerted across his head. Netsuro cared if this boy was a genin. The man barely had a sense of right an wrong less on pity for someone many times younger than him. Still Makashi seemed like someone who he could bully for the hell of it until he found a real opponent to crush in the long run. As long as Carsaik didn't have a problem with it, which he probably would for the simple reason that it was he who brought the boy into Team Neko in the first place. Amasha on the other hand he would leave alone for obvious reasons. Feeling the boy's head squeeze underneath his hand, he would let out a weak giggle.
"Hahahaha. Boy at this rate your little pumpkin is going to pop like a grapefruit."
