I think ghosts are proof that there is something after death, (what exactly that is, I'm not so sure) I don't think we will ever solve the mystery of how and why ghosts exist, and there will always be skeptics who can't believe something until there is actual scientific evidence.
I like to think that there is something we can learn from the presence of ghosts in so many places, and I believe that they sometimes even want very badly to tell us something, but as the saying goes: dead men tell no tales.
I'm not sure why they are here and I'm not sure how they exist, but it is my belief that they are as real as you and me and I am very interested in their existence. I am an amateur paranormal investigator and I have gotten some very strange video and photographic evidence, if you would like to see some of my findings you are welcome to PM me or something.
Sorry for not having an interesting hypothesis on this, but at least I posted something XD
