I need a good bread recipe that would be good to use in a bread pudding. Something rich and egg-y like brioche or challah. Any recipes?

I'm going to be making a chocolate bread pudding with some Valrhona so I don't want it to go to waste. smile

It's early and I don't want to go rummaging about, but if I were you, I'd check the challah recipe in "The New Joy Of Cooking." It's very tasty, and very eggy. Brioche would also work, but I don't have a recipe handy for that one. Alton Brown has quite a good one, however, and I understand his recipes are still available at http://www.foodtv.com if you're interested.

I've been wanting to make some good bread recipes .. I've neve tried a little afraid it'll burn ha ha.
