 ℒιℓч_☽☾I walk through the doors and a sigh of relief escapes through my throat. Walking around shopping malls was not my idea of bliss unless i was actually shopping. Walking past all those beautiful windows was such torture! I don't know how window shoppers can do it!
"Finally! Here we are.." I say as i turn around to see Mark follow in behind me through the double doors. He smiled at me and i felt the blood rush to my face. I whip my head back around so he couldn't see and i ask him "So.. What are ya wanting then?"

"A large order of potato wedges and a large coke. I am not a real chicken eater but those fires are addicting." Mark said attempting a smile, some of the people noticed his face and started muttering among themselves; he rolled his eyes. "I'll treat if you want something."

I move away from the door and sit down at a two-seater table nearby.

Mark smiled and paid for their food, then he sat down across from Lily and asked "So you and Finn used to date huh?" The art of small talk was lost on him. He took a bite out of his potatoe wedges and made a sound that was normally assosiated with sex. "God I miss greasy food."

ℒιℓч_☽☾I grimace at the memory. "Heh.. Yeah. We did. But we're over now.. So i don't really think about it. Besides, him and Hanabi seem to be getting along fine. She deserves someone as good as that. He has his moments, but he's not p***k." I smile and munch on a chicken nugget that i had dipped into ketchup. I hadn't been a vampre for as long as Mark, so it hadn't been long since my last meal of greasy food, i just munched on.
I look up and ask "But.. What about you?"

"Me? I am single, been single since I was marked." Mark said simply. He took a sip of his coke. "Then again I been transfered so often that it's hard for me to put down roots." The young man nodded when he thought about Finn and Hanbi. "Those too seem to good for eachother."

ℒιℓч_☽☾Single? Whoaa.. But a guy like him? Narhh.. He must've had some romance in his life. I didn't want to bug him though, so i dropped it.
"Transfered? How come you get transfered a lot?" And a panicking thought flashed in my head.. What if he wasn't here for long? "You think you're gunna stay here permanantly then?" i say, trying not to batter my eyelashes too much.

"I got transfered for my violent temper." he explained casually. The young man was honnest about his mistakes. "Everytime I start getting comfortable someone tries to prove that I am nothing but a thug and I have to make sure he dosen't do it again."

Not that i had plans anyway.. But i could dream, right?
"Well, lets hope that this place doesn't have the same case.." I said munching on another mouthful of nugget.
I sipped my coke and sat there looking at him.

"Most of the time I just punch someone once, but with one of my gifts from the goddess it hurt a lot worse than what it would be." he explained. "Before I was marked, I was trained how to box, and take care of myself so most people are afraid of me." He took a sip of his coke then ate another potato wedge, then smiled. "I dont plan on fighting anyone, but I will defend myself; so eventually someone might try to pick a fight with me."

ℒιℓч_☽☾"Hmm..." I mused, munching on a chip that i had nicked off of his plastic container in front of him. Don't get the wrong impression, i'm not a food nicker. Seriously. It's just i forgot to ask for some chips and i was embarassed to go up and ask for some.
"Well.. I guess we could hope that someone doesn't irk* you then." I paused, taking a sip from my drink, contemplating as to what i could say next. "Because i think you could be happy here" I say, smiling at him.
* No, that is not spelt wrong, just incase you thought i'd spelt "irk" wrong ^^

"I guess so, thats one of the reasons I am glad that none of the other fledglings have noticed who I am yet." Mark said taking a sip of his soda. "That is untill someone realizes that a lot of fledglings don't sport this." he gesutured to the curved scars on his face. "Thats when trouble starts."

ℒιℓч_☽☾I curiously glance at his scar as he mentioned it. It made him more beautiful to me, in a weird way. It was his own face, just like everyone else had their own faces. His was just that little bit extra special.
Guessing by his closed-upness, i assumed that he didn't want to talk much about it.
I shrugged my shoulders and said "So stick your fingers up to people. I mean.. They must be pretty insecure themselves if they're going to start picking on someone elses looks.." I say, now fiddling with a few strands of my hair.

"I guess so, but it's a pain in the butt because it hurts to smile the scars have all healed but the vampyre who tended to the cuts ened up making the nerves extra sensitive; so it's hard to smile because it hurts." he complained. "Not that I need to smile, seeing as I am forced to smile." Mark gave a dry chuckle then finished his fries. "What about you?"
