Welcome, one and all, (albiet everyone not reading this) to the Awakening. The central plot is based 50 years after the resurfacing of magic into modern life. Players will be capable of toting automatic weaponry while casting spiffy fireballs at enemies. The plot centers around Atlantis, an island that has surfaced in the Atlantic ocean. Upon Atlantis, metahumans and the Awakened gather side by side for the study of their kind at Atlantis' prominent educational Institute. Across the globe, racial turmoil sparked by the awakening of Metahuman races has given birth to new ideals and fascist movements. Flocks of metahumans gather under the banner of Zahn's ideals in Germany, preparing to mobilize against the rest of Europe. In North America, the Native Americans have claimed almost the entirety of the Northwest, thanks to innate shaman magic, and are defending themselves as best they can against human raids. The U.S. has merged with the remainder of Canada into the UCAS, and have began to focus their military on policing and defending what lasting territory they have. To the south of North America, the southern states have combined into the CAS, or the Confederate American States. Driven by centuries of pride and racial descrimination, the humanism ideals of human supperiority reign supreme, and the Confederates have proceeded to lead hundreds of lethal raids into Native territory, burning forests and razing villages.
Atlantis, realizing its role in worldwide affairs, has begun to send elite strike teams all across the globe, making use of their metahuman and Awakened capabilities. Will they be able to stop the racist ideals of Zahn and the CAS? Will the Confederacy once again rob the Natives of their territory? Will Eurasia crumble under the iron fist of Zahn? What is up with Australia?!? You decide.

We here of the Awakening staff wish you to have a good time Rping, we wish everyone to have a good time rping. Now, for all of us to have a good time, there are certain things which must fall into place.

Have you ever been in an Rp with several key people, where all of a sudden one of them decided that he was so important to the Rp that he could leave it unattended for weeks and when he came back, people would still be clamoring to play? Well, you important people out there, you aren't doing that this time. I will set no required limit of posts per time period, but if you are not active, I will deal with you.

Also, if you have recently been invited, DO NOT MAKE A PROFILE WITH A METAHUMAN(elf, goblin, troll, dwarf etc.) UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO SUBMIT THE TYPE OF MAGIC YOU WOULD LIKE TO USE BEFORE POSTING. You see, humans will be allowed the full range of magical techniques, but because metahumans already have benefits, they will be limited.

The Story Thus Far...

Here, I'll post regular storyline updates for a quick catchup if you've been gone for a while, or if you're new to the guild.

Atlantis: The arrival of an Awakened Kinetics Mage calling himself Khalen has picked up quite a stirr. Several inhabitants of Atlantis, including Gerias Forge, Illuday The Airtist, and Ardra, a biomage, have confronted him, believing him to be a threat. Atticus Royale, the headmaster of the Institute, is looking on. Shoryue, a self-styled electrosynergist, has attacked Khalen out-of-hand, provoking the mage to violence. The richest man in the world, Henry Durant, has just arrived on Atlantis with his nifty warship.
