what is it with most teenagers and vampiers why do we get so obssed with them. im a teenager myself and i am fairly obssed with vampiers but i always have been and always will be, but why do so many teenagers become obssed then just go back to normal within a few year?

Personally, I think some/most teens are obsessed with vampires because of Twlight. Teens are obsessed with Twilight and Edward Cullen, so they just go crazy over vampires.

I've got to agree with OSmileC. At least partly.
Most girls have this wierd obsession with Edward Cullen. For what reason, I have no clue. Their like "omg he's so cute i dream about him every night don't you?" im like "sure, he shows up.

but aside of Rob Pattinson just creeping the hell out of me, the discriptions of vampires and dhamphirs in books are just plain hott. Even the creepiest ones are described as hott. It draws in the teenage girl, most likely, because our hormones are wacked and we need this idea of a perfect guy to shield us from all the imperfect douche bags around us. (Not that every guy is one, their are just a lot more of them than nice guys, it seems)
It's kinda like how guys all fantisize over Megan Fox or some other female movie star, because their hormones are wacked.

good points. most girls where i'm from are obsessed with twilight. thats one reason i never read the book. the other reason being, THAT BOOK IS TOOO T'ICK FOR MY SMALL BRAIN TO MANAGE.
i honestly don't see what all the girls see in those dudes on twilight. don' get me wrong. they are good looking, but i don' kno why they obsess over them. maybe its because i've never had before.

Whoa, whoa whoa WHOA. I would like to point out only Taylor Laughtner is good looking (don't kill me for spelling his name wrong). Have you seen Rob Pattinson? The only reason why I WATCH twilight is to make fun of it (hehe.) just look!

I think it is mostly because of Twilight was created that teens are so in love whit vampires today.
Here where I live I can't go anywhere without people asking me about if I like it or not. My usual reply would be "No, I'm a Dracula fan." And they would just stare at me like I was a freak.
But we have teens who like vampires like Dracula or Lestat and other vampires that are not connected whit twilight. I think they like vampires because of the mystery surrounding them. And then the question about immortality and stuff like that. But then, when they become more "mature," they see how vampires aren't real and they stop loving it. It's a phase they go through.
God my spelling is off today, sorry for any grammar or miss spelling ^^'

i do like twiligth but i was obssed with vampiers befor hand twilight just made me reazise. i think twilight being a cause i compleatly fight. and i agree that robert patazan is just ugly in fact thought the films he just looks high.

Your like me then. I liked Vampires looong before Twilight, and it's cool if people like the books/Movies, just don't make such a big fuss of it, or try to make me read them. And I get a feeling that Twitards put good Vampire name in the dirt when they really think vampires sparkle in the sunlight. Oh well, whatever makes people sleep at night.
(And a creepy fact that I heard some days ago. It seems that you can buy a black silhouette of Edward from the movie that you can put on your bedroom wall so that he is always watching you sleep. That's just scary...)
Anyways, lets pray that this Twilight hysteria will end soon, and make teens fall in love whit the Vampire we know. The mysterious, dangerous, scary and sexy kind that most of us are so fascinated of.

Ⓦell, the vampires you mentioned, and others, have been in the media lately, because the fad right now is vampires. And so the media ʝʊӎҏʂ at fads and produces as many things they can because they know people will come to see them.
