Lotuspaw crouched a few tail-lengths into the ShadowClan border. Her plan was to be injured, fallen from a tree after wandering into the territory (as a loner - diguised by herb scent). Which acting that wasn't hard. During training, Hailstar had jumped her during "practice" battle and gave her a good clawing. As far as she saw, his intentional attack had gone unnoticed by the others. She limped a little farther in, hoping a patrol would come soon. She caught a whiff of fresh ShadowClan scent, and made a pained noise loud enough for them to hear.

Rainpaw lifted her head at the sound of a cat in obvious pain. That didn't matter, however. As she sniffed the air, she yowled to the Patrol that she was with. There was an intruder in ShadowClan territory! Without waiting for the others, she dashed towards the strange cat, leaping for the she-cat and pinning her to the ground. Her claws were unsheathed, her tail lashed at the air behind her. "How dare you!" She hissed. "This is ShadowClan territory." Of course, she didn't recognize Lotuspaw in the slightest, having only just met her.

Lotuspaw's eyes widened slightly at the sight of Rainpaw. She did not expect to see her so soon. Her wounds burned and she yowled in pain at the attack. She did not struggle though. She had to be wary not to be chased out.
"Rainpaw!" She hissed just barely audible to the she-cat on top of her. "It's me, Lotuspaw. I need help!"

Rainpaw glared at the she-cat under her, her dark eyes narrow. "If you are indeed Lotuspaw, then what you all scratched up? You weren't like that before?!" She hissed, but quietly. After thinking for a while, she decided to believe her. "What kind of help are you talking about? Why are you in ShadowClan?"

Lotuspaw felt relief wash over her.
"It would take alot of time to tell it all." Lotuspaw said.
She hoped she would take her to camp. She needed to talk to Brackenpaw too. She had no intention of following Hailstar's orders. ShadowClan would help them, without killing all her clanmates.
"Please, I'm just a loner! I need your help!" She said louder, putting on a show for the other cats on the patrol.

Rainpaw hissed and put her paw to the apprentice's throat. "What makes you think ShadowClan wants to help you?" Her fur was standing on end once more, once she picked up on what Lotuspaw was trying to do. It was then that Rainpaw's Mentor came up behind her. He was a heavy-set tom with large paws and a muscular build.
Sandclaw blinked as he came up behind Rainpaw. "Release her, Rainpaw." He told his apprentice, arching his back to let the intruder know that if she decided to run, she would be caught and killed.
Rainpaw did as she was told. "She says she needs our help." She explained, throwing dirt onto Lotuspaw with her paw and hissing at her.
Sandclaw looked Lotuspaw over and scoffed. "You're awfully young to be a Loner....." He observed.

When Rainpaw released her she cowered to the ground.
"M-my mother abondoned me when I was just old enough to eat meat. I've been surviving on mealy scraps since. I was chased by dogs and then attack by a group of cats over there." she motioned with her tail to her injuries then to ThunderClan territory.

Sandclaw's ear twitched as she told her story. "ThunderClan actually managed to run one of you flea-ridden mouse-brains off? I'm shocked!" He hissed cruelly, his lip curling.
Rainpaw stepped forwards. "All the better for ShadowClan though, right, Sandclaw? I mean, with that big battle ahead of us, we could use all the cats we can get..."
Sandclaw glanced over at his dark furred apprentice. "A valid point, my young apprentice." He smiled proudly and then glanced over at Lotuspaw once more. "We'll take her to Ravenstar then; see what he has to say. Follow us."
Rainpaw smiled as she looked at Lotuspaw. Then, she led the Patrol home, into the heart of ShadowClan, the Camp.

Lotuspaw hoped her gratitude showed through her eyes. She shivered at the thought of meeting the ShadowClan leader head on though.

Rainpaw let out a yowl that ran across Camp. Most of ShadowClan came out of their dens or stopped what they were doing to see what was going on, including Ravenstar.
An average-sized, pure black tom appeared from a den not too far from the Nursery. His hazel eyes peered out into the surroundind darkness. "Rainpaw?" He asked. "Is everything alright?"
Rainpaw saw her Father and smiled, going over to him and brushing up against him with a purr. "Of course....We just ran into a Loner on our way back to Camp." She gestured towards Lotuspaw with her tail.
Sandclaw nodded as he listened in. "She claims to need our help. It seems that she was run off by ThunderClan. When was the last time ThunderClan ran a cat off of their territory?" His claws dug into the mud underpaw.
Ravenstar peered over Sandclaw, to get a look at the Loner. His tail lashed at the thought of a Loner being in ShadowClan. With a heavy sigh, he addressed the young she-cat. "Come here and tell me what you request of ShadowClan." He demanded, still glaring.

Lotuspaw willed herself forward. She bowed her head at Ravenstar to show respect before she spoke.
"My name is-" she paused to think for a millisecond "-Cherry. I really need help. I was attacked by the cats you call "ThunderClan" and chased by dogs. I believe that my wounds will become infected, becuase I had no way to care for them myself." She showed a nasty looking gash on the back of her leg.
She was shocked at the strength in her voice. She looked at the ShadowClan leader hopefully.

Ravenstar looked the she-cat over. She, indeed, did appear to be wounded. He sniffed at her wounds, obviously curious. "You smell of herbs." He hissed, fur standing on end. "What did you do for ThunderClan to run you off? It seems to me that they were trying to help you, from the smell of the herbs. What did you do?" His tail lashed as he questioned the young she-cat.
Rainpaw jumped at her Father's stern tone. "I doubt that ThunderClan tried....." Her Father glanced at her once, and she knew not to say anymore. She closed her muzzle and sat down, looking dismal.
Brackenpaw appeared beside her, seemingly out of nowhere. He studied Lotuspaw for a moment and sighed, knowing exactly who she was. He shook his head.

Lotuspaw flicked her ear nervously.
"I-uhhh....They chased me out and I ran through an old two-leg nest. It had a bunch of plants in it. Maybe that's what you smell." as she spoke her voice wavered slightly.
She hoped no one noticed.

Ravenstar considered this. He flicked an ear in indecision and then, finally, he sighed. He motioned to Brackenpaw and Rainpaw. "Take her to the Medicine Cat, but keep a close watch on her." He instructed.
"Yes, Ravestar." Both apprentices answered at once. They did as they were told immediately.
Brackenpaw brushed pelts with Lotuspaw. "What, in the name of StarClan, are you doing here?" He asked her in a whisper.
