And I had been having sleeping problems since the beginning of August, somewhere in there.

I randomly get tired and just fall asleep, even if I don't want to.
I had it really bad one day last week in my Art History class.
I started getting drowsy. But I thought I ws still awake because I could hear my teacher's voice but the next thing I knew he was shaking me on the shoulder and I just jolted up.

This weekend when I was at my friend's house I randomly fell asleep on her floor for 3 hours.

So they think I might be narcoleptic. They have to see me again to be sure.
But I wasn't really prepared to be diagnosed with a ******** sleep disorder.
Not cool.
They said it could have been caused be pre-existing conditions. But I don't understand. At one point in time when I was 13 or 14 I had random spurts of sleep paralysis but it stopped after a few weeks.
This whole ordeal has me in a pretty off mood.

Oh my, thats terrible i'm sorry to hear that.

I personally don't have any sleeping disorders, but my sister has been an insomniac since she was 9. (she's 25 now) her longest span of being unable to go to sleep was like 8 days. she started hallucinating on the 7th day. If it goes longer then 10 days it can be life threatening actually.

So i suppose she has the exact opposite of what you have.

Have you been under a lot of stress lately, I know that stress can bring up old illnesses and seriously affect sleep patterns.

I suppose there isn't much to speculate on until the doctors run those tests.

Good luck with it and keep us updated on it. :3 I'm fairly knowledgeable in these sorts of things. Not anywhere near a professional but my family has had outlandish health problems and been in and out with doctors and hospitals quite often.

So if you just need to bounce ideas off someone or rant feel free to PM me.

Lots off stress.
Insomnia scares me as much as sleeping too much.

We are waiting for results.

But I've been under a lot of school related stress and stuff.
Long story.

D; That's actually extremely dangerous if you fall asleep at the wrong time.

Maybe some energy medication may do the trick?

I'm usually against any meds, but if fit helps, I'm willing to take it.

I usually do like natural remedies, things you can find at health food stores.
But I've seen nor used anything that has helped in that area.
