Throw in all your crazy What Ifs for the Avatar movie and Pandora! Then discuss!
Such as
What if Tommy had lived and the movie was about him?
What if the movie was about the Ikran Clan of the East Sea and the Sky People?

If Tommy was alive I think the movie would have sucked... because... his cup was full. lol
Ikran People Vs the Sky People... there would be no epic final battle... they'd have almost no cover out there near the sea. The Sky people would have massacred their warriors... no?

What if the Na'vi used Hell's Gate to modernize themselves? You know make weaponry and supplies for whatever reason?

questionable. Medicine, yes. Weapons, probable. vechicles? no. The Na'vi also have no real need of computers either, due to Eywa; why have computers when you can make a direct neural link? as for the vechicle thing, they'd break down quickly in Pandoras corrossive atmosphere. hmmmn....
What if trudy had hijacked the Dragon instead of taking her Sampson when they are making their escape?

As long as they don't strike the Dragoon from the top, Trudy could have single-handedly, ambushed them with a full salvo of missiles... then sweeped up the rest with the gat-gats.
Use the mountians for cover...then BOOM... hehehe. I wanna see that now.

But would Trudy have been able to pilot the Dragon by herself, if at all? From what I remember of the cockpit shots, there seemed to be two pilots operating it.
Even so, it would have been very cool to see.

in the literature for the Dragon, here- Dragon Gunship info-, it can be operated by a single pilot. the second station is for a Gunner, but the Dragons guns are fully capable ofrunning automaticly. maybe she didn't have the access codes? it is the biggest gunship they had, and thus far more valuable than a Sampson or Scorpion, and since most of the vehicle had to have been shipped to Pandora from Earth, which means BIGGGGG money spent getting it there, it seems likely that the Dragon would be locked down when not in useage. plus, unlike the Sampsons, it didn;t look like it was kept ready to go. what if Quaritch had remembered that since he had a space capable shuttle, he could have KEW'ed (Kinetic Energy Weapon- think a targeted meteor strike) the Na'vi from orbit? or, hell, have used a antimatter warhead on Hometree instead of a airstrike?

What if there were a clan of Na'vi that lived under water? I always thought that would be beautiful. I know it's really left field but I think that sea life should have been convered in the movie. It would have been beautiful

It would have been beautiful I'd be interested in that, Na'vi with gills and maybe fin-like hands and feet. It would be interesting to see them walk on land too. biggrin Imagine an AVATAR underwater, but a human on land... cool xd

That sounds a bit like something I saw on YouTube. The guy used footage from Aliens (another James Cameron movie, totally awesome) where Ripley is saying to nuke the planet the aliens are on. Then he put up the footage of Jake when he sees the Thanator behind him in the jungle and then finished with a huge explosion. What if (and, again, this is hypothetically speaking) Jake had a daughter from a previous relationship/marriage and brought her to Pandora? Anyone else wondering if Neytiri would completely freak out?

Neytiri would completely freak out, because the Na'vi are monogamous creatures who mate for life...... basically Jake having a kid would mean he had another mate which would make him "off limits" so to speak.

But what if said baby mama/wife died on Earth? When the Na'vi mate for life, is it just the span of one partner or both?

I didn't think of that neutral hmmmm, I wonder... research time xd *Elevator music and I'm back... According to this Na'vi practices concerning mating they are mated for life.... so as long as somebody dies its okay question neutral question . The Na'vi are Monogamous in terms of mating and love, that means they only have one partner for life (Rare type o' thing). Though in some species of animals, when they lose there mate, they tend to never get another/look for another... so maybe Neyrtiri wouldn't... then again maybe she would. Its really confusing for me...
