Dragon HighLord Flambe Effective Character Level. Isn't that if you're using a monster as a playable race? I calculated all of my numbers using www.pathguy.com/cg35.htm, from the Character Creation and Resources thread. It didn't say anything about catfolk and ECL. It had them so you could select them as a race. I'm sorry that I don't understand. This is all new to me.

A couple references: http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Effective_Character_Level_(terminology)http://www.seankreynolds.com/rpgfiles/misc/ecl_vs_cr.htmlThose together should give you some idea. You gain experience as if you were a Lvl 3, but you still only have 1,000 exp not 3,000, and you have to go to 6,000 to get to lvl 3, or ECL 4.

You gain experience as if you were a Lvl 3, but you still only have 1,000 exp not 3,000, and you have to go to 6,000 to get to lvl 3, or ECL 4. So, if I change my ECL to 2, it would mean I'm a level 1 Rogue, with that stats and saves etc of a level 1 character, but because of the level adjustment, I'm considered a level 2 character. So my next level would be class level 2, or ECL 3, right? Thank you for all the help!
