The world of Pokemon, a land of wonder and intrigue for those that live upon it. Pokemon and humans have co-existed for eons in a symbiotic relationship with each other.
In each region, usually upon a child's 10th birthday, boys and girls travel to their region's Professor to acquire their first pokemon partner and begin their pokemon journey. Quite often, trainers and coordinators around the world travel to Kanto to begin their journeys.
For fifteen years now, Team Rocket has been nothing more than a bad memory. However, there is the stirring of an even more sinister group lurking in the shadows. While they have yet to make themselves known officially, the dealings of their underlings have been causing a stir among the people. Some say it might be the revival of Team Rocket while others think it is a different group, or perhaps a new group.
Your role:
You are a brand new trainer who is either about to get your first pokemon from Professor Gary Oak. or you are a new trainer who has arrived to Pallet Town from another region, looking to acquire your first pokemon. As the story progresses, you will be pulled into the darker mysteries that are beginning to take hold of the Kanto region.
Starter Pokemon:
These are the pokemon you get to choose from at Professor Gary Oak's lab. There is an unlimited number of starters, so you don't have to choose a different starter if someone else chose your favorite ^.^

Rules:
1.> Obey the guild and Gaia rules.
2.> No godmoding
3.> No bunnying without permission
4.> Try to post at least 3 days a week: be active
5.> No controlling or capturing legendaries
6.> Keep things PG-13. Romance is ok, but you are playing as children.
7.> The only pokemon that you will be encountering (With the exception of some storyline critical pokemon which will be controlled by me) throughout the Kanto saga are Generation 1 Kanto pokemon. That means you will not be encountering or capturing any pokemon from the other regions. HOWEVER, pokemon evolutions do not have to adhere to this. IE, an Eevee can evolve into Umbreon or Espeon, and a Poliwhirl can evolve into Politoad.
8.> Be a bit realistic when capturing pokemon. You won't be encountering any Dratini in Viridian Forest for example. Also, you should have to work a bit for the pokemon you capture. Rarely do pokemon ever simply let you catch them. Also, be realistic with traveling as well. it should take a good half a day's worth of travel to get from Pallet Town to Viridian City for example.
9.> From what I have seen, alot of the current Rp's here are one sentence posts. Here though, you will be required to at least post one full paragraph in each post.

Once we have a minimum of four players, we will begin the RP. There is no limit to the number of people that can sign up, but the sign ups will be closed by the time Viridian Forest is reached. This will ensure that people do not have to play alot of 'catch up'.
