So, most of the guilds I'm in have a "post your picture" thread.

That's boring.

So I came up with a better idea: We'll have our picture thread. However, instead of just posting pictures of ourselves, let's post pictures of things in New York! This can include the landscape, you, your pets, your computer, and your annoying little brother.

It goes with the theme!
It's original!
It allows the photographers in the guild to show off!
And it has many exclaimation points!

Rules:

1.) Please, only one image per post. This is to prevent people on slower computers from sitting there for half an hour waiting for your masterpiece to load.

2.) Don't stretch the page! It's really annoying.

3.) Keep within the ToS. I can't stress this enough.

Getting around the rules: (I'm not here to oppress you, really I'm not)
So, you've got five or six wonderful pictures that you want to share? That's great! You can put them each in a seperate post using the IMG tags. That looks like this:

[img]http://likethis.com/image.jpg[/img]

If you don't want to spend the time doing that, you can put a LINK to all of your pictures in your post! Just copy and paste the URL, and GAIA will magically make it clickable, or you can use the URL button and give your image spiffy titles. The code will look like this:

[url=http://likethis.com/image.jpg]New York City at Night[/url]

OK, so you have a masterpiece, a real work of art. Problem is, it's huge. Just link it! I've given you two different ways of doing it above.

Have fun! I look forward to seeing all of your pictures!

New York, eh? My favorites are from D.C. and New Hampshire. xd Damn it!

Ah well. I have one or two.

Me at Vassar last year for the debate tournament, at which I had my a** kicked. It was also very, very cold. (Chinese food was good, too, and Nicole's cow pajamas rocked out.)

Disclaimer: This picture was taken on Lake Champlain, so it may or may not have been in New York State. I'm sure that lovely moon was visible from either shore.

Lake George. I do not know who that girl looking spacy is, but she should wear clothes that are considerably less slinky in the future.

My backyard is easily one of the prettiest places on Earth in the springtime. (New York is Eden. razz )

My mother and I always took note of this abandoned house, off to the side of I-88, a long and lonesome road stretching from the Capital District to Binghamton:

Abandoned indeed. What charming metaphor. razz

My father and myself chilling at Lake George, on run-around-on-the-foot-thick-ice day. It was actually kind of warm. We feared for the safety of those cavorting about the lake.

Awww... I was enjoying myself.

Your backyard is breathtaking, though.

It's kind of ugly this time of year. xd I have pictures of it in winter too, maybe I'll post them when I'm not, like, in school, and stuff.

I bet it's pretty after a fresh snow. Everything is pretty after a fresh snow.
