About Zanpakuto Spirit: Kagemaru seems to have been a shinigami once as well, and is pretty and seems gentle and delicate. However, she's haughty and hates to lose, forcing Zakuro to her limits. Hard to control and a reiatsu consumer, Kagemaru doesn't submit to anyone but will sometimes concede to Zakuro's wishes.

Shikai Description: By stretching out, the sword becomes like a length of ribbon. The blade is thin but the end fans out and becomes a deadly sight.
Shikai Ability: Able to bend and twist to her very desires, it also has the ability to suddenly disappear into the shadows. . . and pierce.
Attacks:
- First string : Twist - The blade twists to become a screw-like object and dives at the opponent, usually at the foe's stomach area.
- Second string : Wrap - The blade straightens itself and then wraps around the opponent's entire body, sometimes squeezing them due to their size.
- Third string : Blend - The sword disappears up to the hilt but a dark shadowy band appears around the opponent's body. The blade actually becomes miniscule slivers and penentrates the opponent's body.

Bankai Description: Only able to be used in complete shadow, Kagemaru drifts into the shadows and strike from any angle at the opponent. Its weakness is light Kidou, Hadou, etc.
Bankai Ability: As flexible as Kagemaru is, the sword becomes blunt in the first move and whips the opponent. The second attack, however, can seriously damage the opponent, if used correctly, it can behead someone or slice straight through their middle.

Biography Before Death: Grown up in a rich household, Zakuro was known as a princess among the commoners. Her father was an international merchant and was known as a noble in the Capital City. She grew up a bit spoiled but was never allowed to spend time with the commoners, only coming out of their mansion when there were festivals, and even then with guards and maids surrounding her. Three days before her arranged marriage - all marriages were arranged at that period - she was called to meet some foreign merchants, who were cooperating with her father. However, due to the fact that those same foreign merchants were less than noble, she was treated to an early death at the age of 21, with a knife in her throat.
Biography After Death: Upon her sudden death, Zakuro was taken to Soul Society, scared and shy to the unusual surroundings. She was haunted by the thought of mingling with the citizens, the foreign, and strangers. However, she still had a strong desire to become famous among those resting in peace. She later found that she could do kidou and signed up to become one among many at the shinigami academy, intent on becoming a noble once more, this time through hard work. Since then, she has realized that unless her family was among the four noble families, she couldn't fulfill her dream of becoming noble. Zakuro learned to seriously revere her captain, who is both strong and a Kuchiki.
