This lake is a true sign of peace; there is never a point where the lake ripples, it just stays still. Most souls who come here; come because they want to find a place where they can sit and think, and some come here to just stare at this natural beauty. Some say that the overseer made the lake; in an attempt to camp (The Overseer has always had a natural fascination with camping) But when he made it all he wanted to do was stare at the water.

With a brilliant flash of light, a young woman awoke upon the silky, green grass. She blinked a few time & sat up straight, her wavy, dark brown hair flew slightly against the cool breeze, her sparkling brown eyes scanned the foreign terrain. She was surrounded by grass covered shore by a peaceful looking lake. Her head throbbed painfully... the woman gritted her teeth & waited for the pain to subside. All of the sudden, the pain left... and she felt unnaturally relaxed too.

"W-what ha-happened?", she mumbled hoarsely.

Upon shaky legs, the tanned skin lady walked over to the lake. She dipped her hands into the cool waters, cupped them together & took a sip of water. It felt so nice & fresh as it ran down her throat. As she finished, she sighed softly, feeling refreshed & curious as to where she was at, the female began to take a look around....

Ulruu calmly surveyed his surroundings from his perch in a tree. He was staring deeply into the stillness of the water. It was relaxing, something he was acquainting himself with. Relaxing was so hard. He felt like he was in a trap still. It was like they'd made a dream world just to torment him more. He sighed. If this was his torture, then he would enjoy it until it disappeared.

Kyra looked around, still unsure where she was. She reached the lake's shore and stood there watching it. It was calm and at peace, there were not ripples in the water. She took the sia's out of her boots, the retractable bow staff out of it's harness around her thigh, and her katana that settled against her back out and put them in the grass next to her. She left the daggers in the belt around her waist. She sat in the grass and watched the calm waters, enjoying the peace. Her fingers twirled in the grass as she watched.

Ulruu felt another's presence nearby his tree. His amber eyes swept the area. There-a young woman was sitting by the lake's shore. Amber eyes returned to the lake. He wouldn't bother with her, and hopefully, she wouldn't bother with him as well.

Kyra let out a sigh before leaning back in the grass, hands behind her head. She looked at the sky. "I don't know where i am but it's lovely here." she said to herself. She pointed her finger up toward the sky, out lining some of the clouds.

Ulruu, although used to staying in one position for hours, was getting antsy. So, he shifted his weight from one side to the other from his perch. Somehow, despite years of practice, he lost his balance.

Ulruu's world tilted slightly as he silently fell. Strong arms quickly latched onto thick branches. His body swung and twisted as he soon controlled the fall. He couldn't really mess with the quiver on his back that had banged against his side. That's going to bruise, he accidentally projected to anyone near the lake.

Finally, his feet landed on the plush ground. A grunt escaped him from the impact. When he felt his vocal cords sound, he couldn't help but wish he could remember what his voice sounded like again.

Kyra tilled her head back, seeing someone standing there. She groaned. "Hope he's not here for a fight." she said. She dropped her hand that was in the air to her side grabbing a dagger just in case. She gripped it tight in her hand but let her body seem relaxed. She looked back up at the sky but kept her senses alert. She never was the attack first, ask questions later type of assassin. She tried to avoid needs fights.

Ulruu stood slowly. His tanned hands dusted his clothing off casually. The woman's comment fell on literally deaf ears. However, he did want to know what she thought- would he be attacked in the near future? But, he didn't enjoy invading other's thoughts without permission, so he glanced over at the woman. She looked fairly relaxed, but he could tell that his fall had alerted her at some point.

Satisfied, he grasped a thick branch and swung his slender body up. However, he didn't climb to the top immediately. Instead, his booty was parked at the first branch. His eyes strayed curiously toward the woman. Then, they snapped back to the still water.

Kyra heard him go back up the tree. She let out a sigh then let her body relax even more though she knew she shouldn't have. She sat up as she placed the dagger back into its place in the belt around her waist. One leg was straight while the other's knee was up. She placed her arms loosely around the leg that was up as she looked at the sky again.

Ulruu checked out his side. Sure enough, a dark discoloration was blossoming from under his tanned skin. He sighed as he lightly touched the area. It would heal fairly quickly, but it still ached a little. He sucked in a deep breath and released it.

His back was slightly curved out as he slouched casually from his low perch. Leather clad legs dangled off the thick bough. His quiver was still strapped to his back. He slung his bow off of his back. It poked him a lot when he was in such a position. He lay it in his lap.

Kyra let out a sigh before standing straight. She dusted herself off and started putting her weapons back. Her katana went to her back, her staff went to her thigh and her sias to her boots. She felt better with them on her so she knows where they were even though she was just going to play for a while. She took some water from the lake and started to play with it. She weaved it between her fingers and around her head, laughing as she did so. She enjoyed playing with her magick mostly water while fire was more for control. She started doing all sorts of tricks with it, making snowballs then those were followed by mist then back to water then ice. She started to laugh even more, dancing as she did the tricks. She was light on her feet and she seemed as she was dancing on air.

The tanned female turned around and inspected everything that surrounded her: mountains, blue skies with a few clouds here & there, a beautiful field of grass & flowers and finally, the lake.

"Huh. This doesn't look like Harubiwa no Machi to me--", the brown-haired girl said a loud; the suddenly it hit her.

A flood memories flashed before the girl's eyes, some where going blurry & some she could make out clearly. During this she heard someone calling out her....

"Kurenai! Where are you?!"

"Kurenai-ojousama! Where aru yuu? Please come back to me!!"

"Hey stupid, don't you dare die on us!"

"Kurenai... Noo!"

"Come on, you gotta hang in there!"

"Oh no... I failed to protect her... I failed to protect my daughter..."

The pain came back, stronger than ever. The throbbing felt like it could explode. Kurenai gritted her teeth & then bit her lip in a feeble attempt to stop the pain & voices. She kept mumbling "Stop it" over & over again until she finally had enough.

"I SAID STOP IT!!!!", she screeched.

Then as easily it started, it abruptly stopped. But then she heard a peculiar noise... the noise of a heart monitor stopping... it's as if someone just flat-lined. Kurenai's forehead was decorated in tiny beads of sweat, she felt unnaturally exhausted... She flopped on to her knees & tried to catch her breath. She sighed and her vision became blurry. She wiped her eyes & her tears fell out softly. She thought about what was going on & then after several moments it finally made sense.

KURENAI JUST DIED IN THE REAL WORLD.

Ulruu observed the woman happily play with the water surrounding her. He smiled softly at the light hearted game she made for herself. This place was so peaceful and serene. It was the perfect place to appease the cursed scar tissue.

Then, a harsh feeling clanged against his head. It was pain, but it wasn't his own pain. This was someone else's pain. He cursed himself for letting his guard down. Slowly and painfully, he endured the unwanted connection until it was over. His half demonic side flared with surreal glee at the pain.

Thud. Ulruu was on the ground again with a rough gasp. His bow landed softly on the ground next to him. His rough hands clutched his head, a stabbing pain split through it. An already bruised side ached. The dove shaped scar burned his flesh as it glowed, now in effect. He unknowingly gave a short shout at the burning sensation.

Kyra dropped the water as she heard the shout. She looked at the man on the ground and what looked like in pain. She ran to him, kneeling in front of him. "Are you alright? Do you need help?" she asked him. She placed her hand on one of his shoulders, hoping she could help.
