Something other than: Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist, and Inuyasha.
Yes... I think these are the most well-known animes since they are practically everywhere these days ^_^

Hmmm..
A good one that isn't really well known.
Uhhh... can't think of any good anime, since I pretty much stopped watching any in about sophomore year for myself.
Buuut, maga, if you can ever find it, I really reccomend Goth. It's about murders and stuff. Super cool, and only one volume long! 8D (It's easy on the pocket money, not like these 50 volume long ones like Naruto, Bleach and Inuyasha).

D. Gray-Man is pretty good (manga and anime - manga is still being released) Claymore as well!
also, manga-wise,
Double Arts 1/2 Prince (really hysterical!)

It all depends on what you enjoy watching as far as genre goes (for example: romance, sci-fi, school-life, etc.) Many people love watching different things so it would be slightly difficult to list all of the genres here and list each of my recommended animes for each category.

I can think of plenty of anime. Thinking of anime I will watch to death no matter my mood is harder. Black Cat is the first that springs to mind. The original Yu-gi-oh was pretty good too, except for that last season, and even that was good despite the poor plot, in my opinion. Teen Titans and Young Justice are the only other ones I can think of.

Ahh, nice question. Yes those anime are all very well known, along with quite a few other mainstream ones as well...
I know far too many anime to write them all down, so I'll put up my top five today and maybe I'll hop by again with some more later.
1. Yu Yu Hakusho- Love the one liners in this! 2. Gurren Lagann- Awesome action and great storyline! 3. One Piece- Has it all, action, comedy, romance. Great series! (Funimation version) 4. High School of the Dead- Zombie butt kicking, need I say more? 5. Urusei Yatsura- A madness filled anime, but loads of fun.
That'll be it for today...I'll be back with more though, trust me. ^^
