Anyway... This is now the "official" guild thread for Tales Of Destiny 2 discussion... And by "Destiny 2", yes; I mean the real one. 'Not to be confused with Tales Of Eternia which was translated into "Tales Of Destiny II" and caused a catastrophe by confusing people. xD But I ramble. This thread is intended for the real Tales Of Destiny 2 starring Stahn Aileron and Rutee Cartret's son, Kyle Dunamis. Yes, this Tales game was the first to be a direct sequel. (The prequel was Tales Of Destiny, odviously.) This particular game has, however unfortunately, not been translated into English and released in North America for us poor Canadians to play. ...And everyone else of course. ^^;; I don't like to say this... but despite my cravings to play this game, considering how Tales Of Eternia was made into "Destiny II" in North America, it may cause more confusion for people if it's released here along with it so I think I'll doubt the fact of it being brought here a bit? (Haha... Have you seen the English commercial that made the mistake of showing Tales Of Destiny 2 footage as the commercial narrator-person advertised the plot about Tales Of Destiny II, the English version of Eternia? If not, it's on Tales Central.) Anyhow, please discuss Tales Of Destiny 2 here. >-<;

I LOVE THIS GAME!!! I wish I had it.....but I have figured out mainly which moves they used for their Hi-Ougis, and are Reala and Kyle childhood friends?

No, Reala shows up during the beginning of the game, and Kyle wants to find out where she came from.
And to be honest, I'm not sure if anyone can clear this up or not, but from the little bit of the game that I was able to play, I heard Kyle say "RO-ni". Not "Loni", even though Tales Central does say, "Loni".
Anyone care to clear that up?

sweatdrop It's actually a rolled R, that can make an L sound. (At least how my teacher taught it) So it can actually be either, but where you put emphasis in it for names is what determines the R or L. By the way, Meredy crashed onto Inferia, so they knew a little about her from the get go. Reala just shows up, almost out of nowhere. (She actually came from something, but I consider that a semi-spoiler)

Well, I'm an idiot. I read the manual and it did, indeed, say "Loni". Mystery solved.
This game is so freakin' awesome. It's battle system is what really makes it interesting, it basically forces you to not hack and slash all the time. I just faced Barbatos for the first time (One where you can't beat him), and now I'm off to find Woodrow.

Wheee~
Fighting Barbatos for the first time was fun. But I'm probably going to get my a** kicked when I have to fight him in the "Crooked Sight" period. Activating all of those Hi-Ougis are fun. Can't wait to get to the end of this game.
By the way, Harold is the second best spell caster of the entire series, right next to Klarth (IMO).

Whatever you do on the final fight with Barbatos... DON'T USE MAGIC. (Was it only healing or attack too?) I found him amazingly easy to combo for some odd reason...
K: Zan! Kuu! Ten! Shou! Keeeeen!
H: Execution!
J: Senretsu! Kokousen!
K: Chirihazan!
R: Burn Strike!
'Course... You could just control Reala and cancel as soon as he starts to counter cast... wink
This game really is amazing. One of the best stories in any Tales, a fun battle system that challenges you at every turn, amazing music, some of the best voice acting in a game... and HAROLD!! She's just the best. whee

His counter-casting is damn annoying.
I'm going to fight him for the 3rd time now (every time I lose I train for a few more levels..). He really is one of the most cheapest bosses in the series. Maybe as cheap as Dhaos' second form from Phantasia... but maybe not.
At least he has a cool battle theme, go "Coup de Grace"!

Finally beat Barbatos.
Thanks for the advice Exselser, I sort of used it. I brought Harold with instead though, she did some really powerful magic at the beginning of the battle, then Barbatos started to counter-cast, so I turned them off.
I did do the Counter-cast thing though, except I did it with Judas, >=D.
That was nice though, I could then run up, attack, run back and do it again.

Beat the game yesterday, the ending was great. Dragged on a little, but it was worth it.
Now that I've found all of the keys to the secret dungeon... I need to train (3rd random encounter there killed me, ;_; ).
As for the minigames... where are they all found?
I know that the waiter minigame (BISHI BASHI HATARAKE) is in Filia's city, and the card game is in the city where you found Judas. But where is the one for the flight minigame? I've gone to all of the cities and I haven't been able to find it... >_>

Hm... Unfortunately, like I've said, I haven't even played Tales Of Destiny 2 in spite of my creating of this thread... sweatdrop But anyway. I was seriously bored again, and I decided to make an avatar of Harold Belserius on Tektek... Well, I tried, anyhow... I know I know, it looks... like... nothing similar to Harold. But whatever! >->;
Here's a picture of Harold for reference... For me to use there was no staff (of course), green shirt with the collar & arm designs, proper hairstyle, decent purple eyes (that seemed Harold-ish), fuzzy black wrist things (my attempt with the things on the Nitemare Gloves was plain foolish), golden buckles for the shirt and tops of the boots, boots (...I used socks), odd purple half-cape, partially-opened outflowing purple skirt, or even a tight, light blue, frilly corset. -_-;; Meh... The list goes on of missing items. ANYWAY. I tried. I lamely failed, but I did. xD! Maybe I'll try to make some other characters sometime if I'm feeling bold... (The characters' outfits are unfortunately very unique, in this case. I have to subsitute many razzled outfit pieces...)
