I was wondering, after the elder dragons die or are repelled, does the damage carry over to the next time you try the mission?
Also for Kirin...is it possible to get the Elder Dragon Blood as a reward for it?(even if it isn't in its carve guide?)
I have a lot more questions but...i need time to think of what they are.

For most of the Elder Dragons (Luna, Teo, Cham, Kush, And the Fatalis trio) the damage you inflict on them stays throughout quests as long as it is in the same rank. EX. Breaking off the Tail and horns of a Kushala in the elder does not transfer to the Guild Kushala quest, only to the next Elder quest. Kirins do not give Elder Dragon blood. The best bet is to farm Chameleos. They are easy if not slightly annoying. If not Chameleos, Lunastra or Kushala but then you have to deal with their Fire and Wind barriers. The only Elder Dragons that have to be killed in one quest are Lao Shan Lungs, Kirins, Yamatsukamis (maybe), and any downloaded Elder Dragon Quest.
Hopefully that was not confusing.
