The Tower serves as a home to any Dark Borne who have no nation of their home. It is a place where only those who walk in shadow can enter the tower. The top most floor is where the royalty stays, this tower like the light tower is the most equipped for every day living as it in a permanent residence as opposed to temporary. The top most floors house the bedrooms while the others contain kitchens, meeting rooms, and armories. Like the earth tower it also travels a few levels into the ground where those who truly live in shadows stay.

Emeriss opened one of the doors to the tower and quietly walked in. It wasn't surprising that there wasn't any real light within the main hall. She took to one side of the room, opposite the base of the stairs and began to look around the new or most likely fairly old dark tower.

Nelo slowly crept into the Tower of Darkness, and saw Emeriss surveying the main hall. "So, what brings you here?" He said in a soft, almost mocking voice. He was surprised how much being in the Tower incresed his power, and he felt ten times better than usual, mostly because of the complete lack of light.

Emeriss tilted her head then turned partway to face the entrance and Nelo. "Oh nothing, I'm but an avid party goer here to see the sights. Something about this place reminds me of home. What brings you here?"

Seeing that this woman wasn't intimidated by his voice, Nelo stepped into the room from the entrace, and leaned against a far wall. "Just checking out what all the commotion that went on in the castle was about. Yeah, it reminds me a bit of my home, if you can call the back streets of the city home..." He shrugged. "Just attracted to dark places all my life, and now that this tower is here, I can be who I am and have a roof over my head."

There's plenty of caves in the countryside if you're THAT starved for dark places. Emeriss raised an eyebrow. She turned and began to approach the stairs leading to the tower's top as she began to talk about the 'commotion', "That commotion is what ripped this and that other tower from the ground. I don't know how related it is to the former king and queen's little game, but none the less they are related events." As she started moving up step by step, she tapped the blade of her new found sword against the sides of them testing the acoustics of the room.

A small placidly looked out the window from her tower room, surveying the other towers and the castle around her little home. She was very lonely and very bored, not one for much conversation. She hopped off of her stool and began to skip down the stairs towards the door. If any visitors should happen to come. At the bottom she froze, her wide ten year-old eyes took in the image of two people. Why were they in her home? She peeked around the corner, watching and listening, trying not to be seen.

Nelo chukled, and said, "So old King Colm is playing hop-scotch and..." He looked up. "Wait... former?" He shrugged. "Ah, well. He lived a good death." Nelo looked up the stairs behind Emmeris, and saw a set of tiny eyes looking right at him. He smiled devilishly. "Seems that this tower was hiding a few rats."

Emeriss rolled her eyes at the idea of even a minor compliment to that vermin king. Speaking of vermin, Emeriss glanced up the stairway a bit to the sound of faint breathing and the sight of eyes. "Well, it was underground for so long. I'm surprised the pests didn't make this a paradise." Giving the Sword of Atlantis a quick twirl, Emeriss head it in a ready position. her lips curved into a sinister smile.

The little girl frowned at the sword that swung before her as she looked up to meet Emeriss's eyes. In her own violet orbs there was a darkness that almost seemed to pull any in without warning. She blinked and looked away as if she had seen enough of the girl. Then she looked at Nelo, but quickly looked away for the second time. She was as easily distracted as she was curious. So she stepped out from where she had been hiding to skip over to the door that the two had entered from. She pointed at the door and then to the two strangers. As if asking if they had come from this one? She didn't wait for an answer, instead she walked over to a table and placed a foot in its shadow. Immediately she became one with the shadow and began to dance around the room as such. Very childish and not one for conversation.

The girls deep, almost soulless eyes, were mystifying to someone like him, and he smiled a bit because of it. When she didn't say a word, and began to skip around, Nelo thought she wanted to play a game. He lifted his hand and caused the shadows to bend around and grab at the Girls ankles playfuly.

Though brief, Emeriss had gotten a good look at the wispy child before she ran off. "It's a little kid, by basic appearance anyway." Emeriss knew not to trust the first glimpse of anything, after all she had a nasty habit of altering her appearance to remain more appealing to those around her. She wasn't particularly interested in what looked soulless whether it was true or not. Those sorts of creatures were less appetizing.
Taking a step off the banister, Emeriss formed and opened her wings briefly to glide toward the entrance and one of the seats nearby before sitting down and hiding her wings again. She rest her hands on the base of the sword handle and her chin on her hands to watch the little game of cat and mouse ensue between this vampire and the ghostly shadow child.

She squealed in delight as the shadows of the chairs and shelves grabbed at her ankles. Her shadowy form shivered with her laughter as she came to stop next to the girl who had a sword. The sword looked very pretty and old, it drew the child to it, but she daren't touch it. She looked at it with wide eyes as she stepped out of the shadows. She smiled at Emeriss. "May I see it?" She asked politely. She didn't want to touch it, but it was ever so hard to see the blade while Emeriss was covering the handle. She looked back at Nelo, directing the question at his as well.

Nelo walked up to Emmeriss and the child, and gazed at the blade, as curious about it as the little girl. It was old, with strange runes inscribed on it, but was sharpened to a hair. He smiled greedily, as he had heard of blades like this being worth a fortune, but he thought better than trying to take it. Instead, he reached into the shadows again, and produced a blade roughly the same shape as the one Emeriss caried, but was comprised of the darkness itself in a solid form, and jet black like the sadows it came from. The child was deligted at this shadow trick as well, but Nelo shook his head. "This may look like the sword that woman holds, but it's only a sharpened edge of darkness, with no special powers, other than being made of shadow..." He released his grip on the hilt, and the sword dissolved back into whisps of shadow, and returned to the darkness.

Emeriss let go of the sword and sat up straight. Despite the obvious implications of gravity, the blade stood in place, not wobbling or shifting at all. She had casted a mage hand spell to allow the weapon to hold its position standing up, without touching it physically. "Here. The former king had this for one reason or another, though it didn't do him much good in the end." It was difficult not to laugh at the end result of Colm. Emeriss would end up chuckling for some time thinking back to that pile of fetid ashes that lay in the ballroom floor.
