 [I'm not a bad person...]♠ Baron and Baroness again? Hopefully this time things would go better, Chris thought to himself as he set his suitcases down. It wasn't like him to make a commitment like this, let alone twice. But he couldn't help himself. He tipped his hat and checked his watch. Alnette seemed to be out right now, but she might stop by in a little bit. He said he'd be here. In the meantime, he figured he might as well start to unpack...  ♠ [...I just have bad luck.]

Alnette had arrived when she hoped Chris hadn't expected it. Slipping in as silently as she could, she flashed a smile at him. "I'm here."

[I'm not a bad person...]♠ Chris turned around. "I didn't hear you come in," he replied. "You haven't aged a day. I guess that's one of the perks of being you, though, huh?" A smile was visible through the shadows. "But you sure know how to get yourself into a mess, don't you?" He closed his suitcase shut. "This place looks deader than I remember it. Things been quiet while I was out?" ♠ [...I just have bad luck.]

"You weren't supposed to." She smiled. "Yes, it is." It was then she laughed nervously, toying with the rose in her hair. "It's a bad habit, I'm afraid." Alnette looked at him, stretching. "They have, though I intend to liven it up a bit soon."

[I'm not a bad person...]♠ "Either you're good at catching me off guard, or I need even more blood," Chris said, shaking his head. "But a pleasant surprise nonetheless." He held up his own red rose, then set it down. "Yeah, you haven't changed a bit." He slid his suitcase onto the floor and stood up. "I guess I'll help with you and Discord in cleaning things out later, but... I think we have more pressing matters on our hands." ♠ [...I just have bad luck.]

"I don't know what you're thinking, but when I said 'we have more pressing matters on our hands', I was referring to the fact that we haven't shared a bed in months and that we have some serious catching up to do." He fell backwards with a grin. "Can't have Raven calling you celibate anymore, can we?" ♠ [...I just have bad luck.]

"I'm not really ready to leave the shadows behind me... but I suppose I can let my guard down, just for now." He took off his hat, and his feature suddenly became illuminated. The darkness was gone, for the moment. "I suppose that's what intimacy is all about, isn't it?" He turned back and looked at Alnette. My image is a fair bit older..." he twirls a gray hair with his finger and hold it up to a strand of Alnette's red hair. "It's harder for a vampire to maintain youth. But I've grown accustomed to this image." He pulled Alnette closer to him. "Though hopefully I'll get a tad younger if I can drink a bit more regularly." ♠ [...I just have bad luck.]
