Standing amid the worried people of Kusagakure, Kyuuji simply looked at the Nibi and said to the villagers, "Act accordingly." Surprisingly, the village did not go into pandemonium, rather as they were trained from a young age the villagers made haste to leave the village, traveling away from the Nibi towards the jungles of Kusa no Kuni where they would have safety. Within minutes the village was evacuating in an orderly fashion, having been nomads the people of the Grass are used to up and leaving all behind to survive. Word of mouth brought the village to a swift retreat, the crowds of people nearly running with the pace that brought them out of the village in orderly lines, leaving space for shinobi to travel in between the disappearing columns of people.
Kyuuji surveyed the situation in an instant and disconnected himself with all of his Kami Shikigami, paper clones, amassing his chakra and focus in one location. The Kage focused his chakra and, standing before the fire ball performed Fūjutsu Kyūin, reversing his chakra flow to absorb the fireball into himself as chakra and nullify the technique. Reversing his chakra flow causes the Kusakage to take a truly human shape while he uses the technique making him physically vulnerable, but the absorbed chakra would be added to his reservoir. The technique is very complex and requires total focus and prevents Kyuuji from multitasking.

Before the Fūjutsu Kyūin could take the full attack, bamboo rose up in front of it to weaken the attack. Although the fireball still hit Kyuuji in his technique-stage, the intensity of the attack was decreased. Having used all of his chakra to take the force of this attack, Sojiro fell to his knees in the Kusakage's office, fully drained...

After assimilating and naturalizing the vast majority of the Nibi's through the Fujutsu Kyuin Kyuuji stored a minute amount of the chakra into a part of his body, utilizing Han Shikigami (paper seals) and Shikigami no mai (paper manipulation) he created a container for the chakra to be stored into for later analysis. He had plans for a technique that would act as a, 'repellent' for demon chakra.
Storing the sheaf of paper in the folds of his robe he manipulated his body into a swarm of Chinese Mantis (Tenodera aridifolia). The sight would be quite startling to everyone, but being that the village was empty and moving in the opposite direction no one would have noticed when their kage seemed to dissolve into a large number of insects. The storm of green and brown bodies sighed with their wing beats, all hovering low to the ground, flying from perch to perch. As one body the mantis cloud rose into the air, the cloud seeming little more than smoke to the viewer. As the paper insects rose Kyuuji thought on what the meaning of the demon attack could be, and of the dangers of the kage summit.
While over the grasslands seven of the mantis separated from the swarm and descended to seven different locations in Kusa no Kuni, this being a precautionary measure for Kyuuji's continued survival.

 ◈.................Princess Anivia Sumeka.................◈She walked down the streets, observing the villagers on the same sidewalk quickly moved themselves toward the other side of the street. Dressed in an outfit that made her stick out among the other populace, Anivia didn't seem to really notice or care about the fact that there was no one within a ten foot radius around her. In both of her hands, she carried groceries, thought she was exiled to a rather special place to get them, it was a trip that required her to go across the village to get.
There was a soft thump at the base of her feet. Anivia looked down at the sight of a worn teddy bear. Transferring the grocery bags into one arm, she kneel down, picking up the stuffed animal. It was obviously a favorite toy, as the buttons eyes were loose, and the smile on its face were faded. Stitches along the body was evidence of it being re-stuffed numerous times, no doubt from being over played with.
"Hey! That's my teddy bear!" a childish voice called out, garnering her attention. Anivia's eyes looked up at a young girl, no older than five years old run in her direction. Anivia watched her come up closer, extending her arm that held the teddy bear to her. However, just before the girl could get within five feet from her, the child stopped, looking at Anivia with wide eyes. "O-on second thought... That's not mine." the little girl hesitated.
Anivia tilted her head to the side in question. It clearly was her's, as Anivia saw the sad look on her face, as if she lost a very good friend. "It is not mine... Perhaps then you should have it anyway." the white-haired girl replied in her ever soft, gentle voice.
"Umm... No thanks! Mommy said I shouldn't take things from sick people." the little girl replied and ran off just as quickly as she said it, leaving a stone-faced Anivia with yet again, another child's toy. No emotion was seen on her face, but the fingers that curled tightly around the teddy bear seemed to express her feelings well enough. If Anivia could sigh, she would have. Reminding herself that she still had errands to run, she lifted her leg and began walking once more, though repeating, bitter thought wedged into her mind.
'Even the children are taught to fear me...'
