One Way- By Smiles
Chapter 2:
"Whoa." Sophia says blankly. "Alex, you awake?" Jenny patts my back. I slowly get up, noticing red lasers all around me. I direct right past them. I then get in a sitting position, avioding lasers. "What is all this?" I ask my dad. "Dr. Foncil is using your brother's fire elements right now." my father tells me. I look down. "How is he using her?"
"Him."
"HIM, oh crap." I blush. Did I seriously just mistake my brother as a girl? What the heck is wrong with me? "Are you OK, Alex?" Jenny looks and smiles. "I mean, the knock-out gas was pretty harsh. Don't ya agree, Sophia?" I turn to Sophia. She stares blankly. "Your hyyerness is bringing me down, how could you be so po-" a big musculed man comes over, shutting off the lasers. I look at him, as he is scaring me. He throws my brother down, making me jump, and the lasers don't come back on. Maybe that was until I was awake?
You have the element of water, I remember my dad telling me. Dang! Why didn't I rush out the lasers with water? I shurg, and I see a man with a dark black coat walk in. He is smiling, even grinning evily. "Hello, Elementals." I hear him say. I always wondered why my last name was Elemen. "And Elemental friends." Sophia is frowning. I am, too. "What do you want." she mutters, murderously.
"Your magic." Dr. Foncil smiles. I looked at him, remembering to stay quiet. "Where did our town go?" I ask, softly. "It died. The world is coming to an end, if it isn't obvious." he shurggs, walking around the dark room. "But, if I have the six elements, I could rule the world back over." I look at him. "No one rules the world, it's just God that does." he takes his hand and makes it look like it's talking. My head bounces back. "I don't give a damn, but if I try, I can susceed. If I don't, then I will never know."
"You're just going to hell!" I yell back, as the muscled man kicks my side pressurepoint, making me gag. I manage, "You're not making things better. God is ending the world because so many people are stopping and not believing. People like you." I am shaking.
I was scared to say that.
