Discuss hip-hop endeavors here. Videos, media, etc. I'm curious as to what everyone likes. I bought A Busta disco compacto today. This is why: Gimme Some More.I remember when Everything Remains Raw came out. I miss when good music played on the radio...

I was dragged to a Hollywood Undead show once. The first two bands were emo trash. I will say that Hollywood had a good set and stage show. I think they are more rap/rock then hip hop, but whatever.

I actually found a Bone Thugs cassette at Goodwill, and I snatched it up right quick. Wu Tang is only overrated because of the kids who've only ever listened to 36 Chambers. It is one of the best, but there are better tracks on other albums. The solo works of METHOD Man, RZA, GZA, and ODB are pretty ******** good. Agreed @ Nas. Immortal Technique is some br00tal s**t, mayne. I highly recommend it also. I dunno why you punx don't like hip- hop. Boots is right. Know your roots. Afrika Bambaataa and the rest of the Universal Zulu Nation. And please check out A Tribe Called Quest, Dr. Octagon, and Kool Keith (hand-in-hand with Octagon).

(HED) PE is kind of juggalo-ish which makes me need a shower but I like them Immortal Technique is cool I don't see the roots that connect punk and rap/hip-hop though...maybe social oppression and riots and what not but yeah...

xChrisThePanda I don't see the roots that connect punk and rap/hip-hop though...maybe social oppression and riots and what not but yeah... IMHO, punk and hip-hop aren't about the riots and the oppression, it's about what you do with the oppression that gets put upon you. It's about fighting the ignorance disease. It's about voicing your opinion when the rest of the world won't or can't hear it. THAT's how they're connected. I don't know if you've ever lived in the hood, but my neighbors are punx as ******** and don't even know it. And the ladies love my hair mrgreen

My favorite NC ghetto is probably near and around central avenue in Charlotte. HUGE art district. Rasta shops, head shops, thrift stores, record stores, and my favorite THE PATCHWERK PLAYHAUS. not to mention how all the buildings are brick and have designs all over them. So cool but it's still really ghetto.
