I tend to be a bit of a home body. I get accused of doing nothing all the time and that i'm a complete hermit.
But i mean i have my friend who came over like 5 days this week. I do productive things. I work 12 hours a day four days a week. I get out of the house and go for drives and walks at a lot of different places. I'm a very talkative person and have no problem getting in conversations with new people.
But my siblings say i don't do anything because i don't go to parties or out to the club..
I hate alcohol.. And i tend to not like large groups of people. I'm not much of a mingler.
But i don't think i fall under the "recluse" category too well.. rolleyes What do you guys think?
Do you go out to clubs/parties often?
Do you consider yourself a reclusive sort of person or more of a vivacious sort of person?

I can't go to clubs, and I absolutely HATE parties. I don't really socialize with people, so I'm a very reclusive guy.
Even so, I'm rather talkative and social in a comfortable environment. Sometimes I even turn into a clown. I'm far into the "recluse" category, but not enough to make me a hermit. C:

I'm both...
I have my moments where I actually don't want to leave my room and stay and read all day. Yet will leave the room to go to work or whatever I actually HAVE to do that day.
But also, I go clubbing...kind of regularly, yet I go to an Alternative club or a 25+ club (I know the owners kids, so I get let in even though I am 20) and it is like a 1950's type themed club...So I don't do the regular shitty club theme...
I drink, but never to extreme excess...generally one or two glasses of wine or a cocktail.
I don't do the 'party' thing...I hate them.
So, I swing between both really...

yea ima mix of you bendii and poptarts; apart from work, im usually at home but i do like to take walks and socialize. when im around people that im used to or like shy people i tend to talk ALOT (actually im just immature in general but whatever xp ) yea i hate clubs and parties. well not all parties just the crazy ones. the whole point of parties for people our age is just sex really rolleyes when i go out to parties i actually like to party. i dont do drugs or drink alcohol or anything like that so i guess depending on who you are i could be considered boring. i usually have something to do when im at home though so on an average day whenever im not working im usually at home like playing video games, watching anime, texting/iming or reading soem random book.
tl;dr im outgoing but on an average day i can be considered reclusive. you dont sound reclusive though just like keeping to yourself at times.

Kidding. Honestly though, I'm pretty antisocial. I spend most of my time alone, and I like it that way.
I'm not always a quiet person, but I don't like being around too many people. And I'd rather stay home
than go out most weekends. I'm not a total hermit, but for the most part, I keep to myself..

I am NEVER alone it seems. XD
I have a big family so there is always someone around.. And if i get bored i just hop in my car and go out..
I don't get it when people say i'm anti social. XD

i don't think there's anything wrong with being a recluse. i don't like most people and i don't have many friends, maybe two and they don't live in the same city as i do. so while i go out for walks and stuff, i really don't hang out with anyone other than my boyfriend. i don't really care though, i like being by myself. most of the things i like to do are things that you do alone.
i find that the people who accuse others of being a recluse and try to get them to be more social are people who feel somewhat threatened by the fact that you don't need others in order to live. at least, that's been my experience.
