Course Descriptions-Japanese 1:

* Japanese 1 is an introductory course to both the Japanese language and culture. Students begin to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. Students will be able to converse in simple Japanese, participating in daily oral exercises and dialogues, as being able to read and write in two of the three Japanese alphabets: Hiragana and Katakana.

Unit 1- Intoductions and greetings
Unit 2- Personal information and numbers 
Unit 3- Residence, nationality and more greetings
