Rain sat on the loor infront of the fire. She was crying, AGAIN, for the 3rd time today. "Stupid Mello, he....he just doesn't understand. I wasn't.." Rain stopped crying. She was just a little sad now and more than dissapointed with her brother.

Kurai walks in pops some pocky in his mouth and crouches next to Rain
He speaks "Is there something wrong? " "Crying isnt a very intelligent act while solving a case " He can see her make up run down her face
faintly smiling at her "what ever is up you can tell me"

"Kurai, y-you have a really bad habit of walking in at the wrong time.....Mellow yelled at me again!!" Rain threw herself on Kurai, clutching him while she cried.

Rain wipes her eyes and looks up at Kurai. "Just cause mom and dad died, he thinks he's my boss!" Rain's eyes flashed with coceled fury.

Kurai loosens his grip and holds rain outward " you know mello, he needs to make himself think he controls everything. He might care about you but he thinks of himself first " * brings over to couch * "He always tries to make it up in some way but his brain has limits to he cant all the way understand your feeling, ill try to puts some hints in for you. Rain blushed and smiled at Kurai. "You worse than..nevermind" Rain added quickly. She shivered visably and rubbed her arms.

Mello suddenly calls rain, kurai picks up. Mello:"hello " Kurai:"hey mello "
Mello:"where is my sister " kurai: "shes here but she fell asleep on the couch she seemed really tired,she didn't say much" * signaling rain to be quiet * kurai;"ill make sure she gets home you needn't worry " Mello: "whatever just make sure shes not to upset" kurai: " alright ill see you around"
*Kurai hangs up the phone* " you really should rest , ill stay out here if you like it can be a bit scary here at night, or you can stay in my room and ill stay out here "

"Yeah but Watari (yawn) told me that after I do my homework, I should stay up long enough to relax before I sleep." Rain leaned on Kurai. "you are a good person Kurai, a..good...per.......son" Rain fell asleep right there on Kurai.

kurai thinks to himself {damn she didn't answer my question, I guess Ill go get her a blanket and some pillows } (yawn) {damn i guess i tired too, eh i dont have anything to do I can sleep} *kurai gos to his room after gently laying rain down on the couch,then he returns to rain and tucks her in the blankets and put the pillows under her head * *he then grabs himself a blanket, sits as though he was L and leans against the couch *
time seems to practically skip forward to 7:00 am

Rain wakes up on the couch. She notices she is tucked under a cover and Kurai is on the other end asleep. She yawns and strecthes. She remembers that its friday and Watari lets them make there own breakfast. Rain slips out from under the covers and walks over to Kurai. "Are you awake?" She gently pats his cheek.

"I am making my self a snow cone. I know i shouldn't but, I want one!!" Rain smiled at Kurai. "Want me to make you something?" She looked at the pocy in his mouth, then looked him in the eyes. She raised her eyebrow. "Want any pocky?" She said while heading to the kitchen.
