Figured since this is a vg guild and everything, we coul post reviews of games we like. I already have written up reviews of FF8, Star Ocean: Till The End of Time, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2, and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. I'll go ahead and copy/paste them one at a time, starting with my review of Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time.

Star Ocean: Till The End of Time Developer: Tri-Ace Publisher: SquareEnix Platform: Playstation 2 Genre: RPG Release Date: 8/31/2004 Discs: 2 Disc Type: DVD-ROM
Overview: Now, I'm a big fan of the Star Ocean series. It just dosen't get due credit, because it's overshadowed by the big series, like Final Fantasy. Even though the series is better than Final Fantasy, including this game. The series dates back to the SNES, even though the first wasn't released in the US (Come on, Squeenix! Remake for the DS! Pleeeeeease?). Hell, the GBC direct sequel to the second one wasn't released in the US. (Again, REMAKE! Updated graphics, but keep everything else the same. Come on, fan service is what Squeenix is known for! I mean, look at FFX-2, the game FULL of half naked lesbians?) And.. The books which came before the game.... Those too? *puppy dog eyes*.......Hell, they'll turn those into lesbian pron anyways. I swear! Tetsuya Nomura's a huge ******** pervert! Well, on to the story. Story: The story, halfway through, is excellent. But, then you reach a point, a point where all logic is thrown out the window, a point where it ******** up royally the story of Star Ocean. Apparently, the universe as we know it, was just a game created for entertainment, by "The Creator" in the 4D universe. Yeah. ******** that man. Just ******** that. But, it had some nice tie-ins with the previous Star Oceans, and a lesbian quadruplet. Yes. Quadruplet. There's 4 chicks that are about as hardcore lesbian as Paine (Rikku and Yuna do participate in lesbian sex, yes, but they're still into men. Yuna, her dead boyfriend, and Rikku, Gippal. But, like I said, you know Rikku, Yuna, and Paine participate in 3-ways often. Get used to this. Especally when I get to X-2.), and you know it. It's ******** obvious. Music: Some soundtracks are good, some sound like a rip-off of Monster Rancher (read: Bad.) Could've been better, especially considering the soundtrack of SO2. Gameplay: The shining gem of this RPG. The battle system is full action, and it is ******** AWESOME. (Best system of any RPG. FFX-2 comes very close though.) And, so many little things that make this game addicting, like private actions, completeing maps, mini-games, and secret dungeons, keeps ya coming back. One thing I will complain about, though, and it is the same with every other Star Ocean in existance. The manual walking out of EVERY DUNGEON. It gets tiresome. Oh so tiresome. You'd think they'd take pity on your soul and teleport you out after a story sequence. But, nope! It's Tri-Ace! Can't expect pity from Tri Ace! Love ya too, game developers. Graphics: Very nice stuff. Anime-like, and very nice FMVs. Summary: not the worst SO, that belongs to Blue Sphere (even though that's not bad), but it could've been SO much better. That ******** story twist still boggles my mind.
Score: 8/10

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Developer: Bioware Publisher: Microsoft Platform: Xbox/PC Genre: Action RPG Release Date: Discs: 1 Disc Type: Xbox Type DVD-ROM
Overview: Those who know me, know that I love Star Wars. With a passion. Some may call it an obsession, but what do they know. It's not like I read through the encyclopedia a few times, watched the movies many, many times, read through many of the books, or actually liked Masters of Teras Kasi or anything. *cough* All right. I'll admit. I'm obsessed. That last one shows it. This game, however, is the reason I got the Xbox. Before it's sequel came out, I believe this to be the best game out there for the Xbox. (Its sequel takes the provobial dark-chocolate cake covered with m&m candies and baked with the "special ingredient" that makes you strangely want to eat more)
Story: You are a worker for the Republic, either a Scoundrel (smuggler), Scout, or Soldier. Your ship gets attacked, and you escape with Carth Onasi, a man with serious trust issues. And an all-around general assmonger. After you have some strange dreams bout a hot chick fighting dark jedi, you wake up to the unsightly sight of Carth. If you're a guy, you should be suspicious. If you're a chick, even more so, even though your chara ends up falling in love with the dickhead. Well, then you have to go off to find the hot chick in your dreams, recruiting a very shapely 14 year old Twi'elik, and a somewhat grumpy, but very loyal Wookiee. Well, you find said hot chick, who turns out to be a hot chick jedi. Duh. Hot Chick's name is Bastila, and she tells ya because of the dreams, you have jedi potential. WOO-HOO! If you are a male, you can flirt with her, for very funneh results. She'll refuse, even though she'll end up becoming the male love interest. Females can do the normal female dominance thingamajig. Well, suffice to say, you meet a Mandalorian, who helps ya get off planet, then go to Dantooine, become a Jedi, get your main quest to find this thing called the Star Forge, by going to 4 planets to find Star Maps, to complete a Star Map, which points to the Star Forge. *Zelda "Item Get" sound*, complete 3 planets of the main quest, get picked up by the mean old Sith Lord with No Bottom Jaw, Bastila gets kidnapped, and ya get the plot twist. ******** huge plot twist. Spoiler alert peeps! You're actually the former Darth Revan, who was supposed to be killed by Malak (guy with no bottom jaw). Damn jedi and their no killing prisoner policy. Well, ya get the last Star Map, go to the Star Forge, ship shorts out, you fall on unknown planet, meet former conquerers of the galaxy, find out Bastila has been turned Dark Jedi (you can make her your apprentice if you're Dark Side), get on Star Forge, if you're LIght Side, ya meet Bastila again, if you're male, you turn her again, female, ya gotta kill her, meet Malak, kill him, if you're light side, destroy the Star Forge (which is actually a huge factory for making an endless army), and save the republic, giving you a shiny medal and a pat on the back, or as the dark side put sit, take over the Star Forge and wipe out the Republic as we know it, having the galaxy at your knees. Fun stuff. Music: Same old Star Wars greatness here. Gameplay: It's Bioware, so it's built upon the D&D D20 system. Only they roll the dice for ya. You have 3 character classes (techically 6 when ya get turned Jedi), and those character classes has innate class skills, which you put points in and the like. You also have "Feats", which improve combat, or your skills. When ya get Jedi, you get to choose yer powers, which draw from either the Light Side or the Dark side, or both. You get to move from either dark or light sides by choices in conversation. Basically, if you're charitable or nice, ya get LS points. Bitchy, bloodthirsty, and greedy, DS. Combat is done in real time, with people taking turns actually. It's not noticable though. Great stuff. Seriously. Graphics: Nice shiat, great details. Character models get repeated, but that's a small problem. Summary: 2nd best game on the Xbox, no doubt. Great stuff here, second best Star Wars game ever.

Let me start by apologizing to any Rinoa fans/cosplayers out there. You'll see why.
Final Fantasy 8 Developer: Square Publisher (US): Square EA Platform: Playstation Genre: RPG Release date (US): 9/7/99 Discs: 4 Disc Type: PSone type discs.
Overview: Viewed as the "black horse" of the series (although I don't know why, that belongs to FFIX), this immensly hyped sequel (not direct, duur, it's Square, and it's the Final Fantasy series, although that has changed recently) is controversial. It drew high magazine ratings, although not as high as FF7, but many complaints from the crowd. Mostly cause of the confusing storyline, draw/junction system, etc. ALthough I believe they exaggerate. It's not as bad as you might've heard. FFIX, however, is a different story. *cough* I'll get to that later. Story: As Videogame Recaps (www.videogamerecaps.com) so eloquently puts it: "I'm going to give away the ending here: Squall ends up with Rinoa. The rest of this recap will be about why I don't buy that in the least. You see, Squall is gay. He likes men. Namely, his rival, Seifer. The character designer was a tad too enamored of the Rinoa character (who he designed after "someone special") and somehow she became the center of the story." Well, seriously, it's about an extremely angsty a*****e (Squall) and his adventures, which start with a simple protection mission of a spoiled brat of a Mary Sue (Rinoa), and he ends up falling in love with her. Awww and all that. I say "barf" and "cliche" but that's just me. Blah blah blah "Betrayal" blah blah "Squall and Seifier have gay sex" blah blah "Squall becomes an angsty leader, but is still an a*****e." Add in time compression, loss of memory due to GFs, sorceresses, and that's just about it. What loses many is the time compression. It just gets wacky after that. Music: Some of the best stuff I've heard in Final Fantasy. Many, many great tracks, including a few renditions of Liberi Fatili. (The awesome opening song.) Gameplay: Point 2 that draws in complaints. You see, they forgoed MP. A good idea in my book, bad idea for die-hard FF fans. For this thing called "Draw/Junction". Basically, you get magic from sucking it out of enemies (Yes, I meant it like that. To freak you out: MONSTER SPLOOOOOGE!) . And then you can junction it to various stats to increase them. I like this. Many dosen't. Also, you create your weapons by reading magazines and gathering the right parts, same with limits. Interesting thing, another point that many people hate, but I like the change in pace. Oh, and you summon GFs, which you junction to various characters, and you can boost 'em in the like. Graphics: Compared to the blocky s**t that is FF7, and the cartoony s**t of FF9 it's so...awesome. Best reg graphics of the playstation FF series, although FF: Origins has the best FMV graphics. (ANd yeah. I'll admit IX's FMV graphics are better.) Overview: Squall and Seifier are gay. Very gay. With each other. On a daily basis. ANd this game isn't as bad as many would lead you to believe.

I like all the reviews by the wiiviewr cause he's funny. And the Angry Video Game Nerd is too.
I don't really like reading reviews so I watch them.
