Ello there. Since I've seen many great tips for many intentions in the exchange, I'll share mine. ^^
1. First and the most important point in haggling is...
Don't Ever use the MP as a guildline. The prices in MP is an Autobuy... too few had realized that.
2. Keep the atmosphere light. The seller is not your enemy. Try not to give the haggling a tense atmosphere. Type something off topic during the process.
e.g.
1) Haggling on a Side sale:
73K for penguin slippers? <3
Good luck with your DJ sale. ^^
2) Small sales
30K on Bani clips?
I've been questing those fluffy blobs for ages xD
3) Large sales
Large sales tend to get busy. So keep the post plain and simple.
10K on Solar cloak? If not... then 11K on Lunar cloak.
4) Bidding
If there are mutiple items, don't outbid each other so fast. I did that mistake once. And raise my own price from 73K to 77K. xP
Don't need an example... you people are smart enough. Also... try to keep the increasement as little as possible. 1K is a good amount.
3. Literacy
I can not stress that enough. When the seller can read your post without having a headache, he or she might be in a better mood. Better mood = better deal.
Not too many non letter characters. Limit the emoticon number too. Which is why we invented letter emoticons.
e.g x3 , =x , =D , x_x;
4. Be Polite.
Try not to use capital letters too much. Also drain all offensive hints away. Read your post before submitting it. And try to deem if your offer is reasonable.
If the seller is not an experienced seller, or a rude one, keep your cool.
5. Make friends in the exchange forum.
Then things will be easier to sort out. =3
6. Item > Pure
Always. So the best way is to invest donation items and certain rares. Sealed is a fast and efficient investment. But pause before buying a store item, those are only going to go down.
A small list of rares or uncommens you should watch out for inflation:
Were tail
Headbands
Cat ears
Fox items
NM and Angelic items.
Others will rise slowly.
7. Don't be a profit whore. !!
Not all times will you make a profit. The inflation might suddenly go up a week after you sold your item. But try and keep as many donation items to your self as possible. Best to leave either a letter or one of each item in your inventory.
As a trend, donation items will rise.
8. Sealed.
The price of the sealed letter tend to go Up towards the end of the month, since everyone wants to get their hands on it before the items reveal and the prices go up even more. But there are odd monthes.
The new released items will go sky high for 3-5 days, then drop very low for a week, then stay at a price. But like I mentioned before, they do go up in value after a while.
eg. Solar Headdress 2 monthes ago, 4K. And now, 8K. Price doubled. =(
9. When you run out at a haggle.
When you offered everything you had, and their offer is a tweak higher, settle an agreement. =C
They send and hang the trade. If you did not earn the payment after the agreed time, they can cancel trade.
It'll only work with a diffrence of less than 5K, a nice person, and a good time range. For pure settlements, I suggest join a poll guild would help. =D
10. Don't get too upset!
These are just numbers ( 1s and 0s to be exact) in the computer! Nothing real. (Though I wish it is.) So don't get upset over an exploited deal or a bank glitch (That happened to me... 70K worth of items... down the drain =C).
Those are the first 10 that just popped into my mind. I might add more later. =C

Well I don't use the forums to buy ro sell so I don't have to worry about that but the market place I'm good at selling and not to say that I rip people off but I'm slick and know when to hold and fold or deal out the cards and paly. Soc 30-2 finished at 74% and I know marketing and stocks.
