Sooo... Debating... I tend to do this a lot with my brother... but it's not very fun cause he's an idiot. But it should be better on here because I don't think any of us on here a too idiotic ('cept me lol jk) soo...

Personally, I don't believe in abortions. They're totally immoral.

I think the only time that it would be 'alright' was if the life of the mother was at risk. Other than that, I agree with Fluff

Or if by some unrealistically small chance, the person was raped and ended up pregnant from that. But, again, it's a very small chance.

I'll put it this way, I don't agree with abortion, but I strongly believe in the woman's right to choose. There's also the fact that sometimes abortion is needed to save the life of the mother, even in the third trimester. I have noticed however, that those women that have to get abortions are the ones doing everything they can to save their baby first.
As for rape... Well, it depends on the situation. If it's a guy in the bushes scenario (a guy jumps and rapes you) then the chance of getting pregnant is very slim to none because of the stress and adrenaline. However, sometimes if a woman gets raped by a friend or there's alcohol involved, the woman is physically relaxed enough to conceive a child. That being said, rape shouldn't really affect a person's stance on abortion, it's a little strange to say "hey you should be able to live because your mom was irresponsible, but you don't deserve life because your father was a douche".

I just have to ask..
What's the point of debates? No one ever really changes there mind
on their opinion. At least, I never have.
After a debate I'm usually left feeling angry, so I just try to avoid
them all together..

for me, I like debates. I get to see what the other side thinks and get a small look into why they think that.
thats why, when people discuss things around me I listen and absorb as much as I can, without really having to say anything. mrgreen its fun.
