If you had some sum of money (let's say a few hundred) to waste on any frivolous thing you want, what'd you buy? I'm working a few shifts as an usher over the next few weeks and I'm so tempted to waste it all on this dress. Or take an extra two shifts and get this ring to slip into my boyfriend's drawer with a note "for when you decide to ask" ninja

At the moment any money I"m making is going to go towards a car.
I'd say go for the ring personally, I like the top of the dress, but the skirt bit is too poofy for my tastes.

In the fine print the dress description says that it doesn't come with the petticoat on display, you buy that separately. So with that being said I'd go for the ring.
@Will- any money that I'm making is going towards saving for a rental house (whoo!)

Currently I'm savin' up for a mac, since my one lap top is startin' to slow down a lot and it's hard for me to do my schoolwork.

@Will: I am IN LOVE with that dress. & as Pineapple mentioned it wouldn't be as poofy without a petticoat @Pineapple: Thanks for checking. I'm obsessed with this dress, so I've already read and re-read the fine print. I can make my own petticoat (already sorta have one, actually) if I need one. @Semok: Macs are 2x more expensive for the same quantity and quality of hardware... So you're paying for aesthetics (like aluminum cases which will burn your lap) and the OS. Defragment (programs->accessories->system tools->disk defragmenter) and run a spyware ( Super Anti-Spyware) and virus scan ( Dr. Web CureIt) .

I love Etsy! I recently bought a stuffed Shy Guy from there =3
I have to agree with Will and say the dress isn't my thing either, color and style wise but each to their own taste. You will get more wear out of the dress than the ring though so I would say go with the dress more.

More wear? I'd wear the ring every single day of my life!
But now my boyfriend's been shown the ring he has to get me when he gets around to it <3 so I'll get the dress. IT'S SO CUTE.

I just want a lap top that won't keep gettin' viruses and trojans. Macs seem to have a lot more memory capacity too.

if it's getting so many viruses and trojans, maybe you should stop watching so much porn? Possibly get a decent virus protection, maybe regulate the places on the internet you go...

Zone Alarm firewall. It'll be annoying for the first day or so, and then you'll only see its notices when something updates to a new version or something's trying to get in.
Macs aren't magically immune to hacks/viruses, they just don't have as many because they're the minority. Thing is, there isn't really any software to protect your mac. For the extra price of the mac you could buy a TB external hard drive.

Hmmmm. I've always been reluctant to get an external hard drive. I like havin' everythin' together in one place. And is Zone Alarm free?
@Willhelm: You know I don't do that. crying

Everything I've mentioned so far is free (well, they all also have paying versions, but the free ones work just fine - no bells or whistles, though).
