Unwind
In 2048, the Bill of Life is passed. This ends abortion but allows parents to choose to have their children "unwound" between ages 13 and 18. "Unwinding" is the transplanting of every part of the teens' bodies. Since every bit of their bodies is still "alive," they haven't technically been killed, right? Well these sentenced teens certainly don't think so. Some teens are signed up for it as soon as their born, leaving them no choice, but others are signed up when parents suddenly decide they no longer want them. Will you become unwound? Or will you decide to try and escape?
