 Unwind
In 2048, the Bill of Life is passed. This ends abortion but allows parents to choose to have their children "unwound" between ages 13 and 18. "Unwinding" is the transplanting of every part of the teens' bodies. Since every bit of their bodies is still "alive," they haven't technically been killed, right? Well these sentenced teens certainly don't think so. Some teens are signed up for it as soon as their born, leaving them no choice, but others are signed up when parents suddenly decide they no longer want them. Will you become unwound? Or will you decide to try and escape? **This is based off the book Unwind. But not to worry, I haven't read this book myself so the Rp most likely won't follow along the lines of the book.

When everything's coming your wayLila sighed and gazed out the window. Her parents were taking her somewhere, but wouldn't tell her exactly where. They had kissed and hugged her and told her that they loved her. They had been more affectionate then normal and it had freaked her out. She sighed again as she shook her head, reminiscing. As she watched the buildings go by, she realized they were going somewhere new. But where? She thought to herself.Your in the wrong lane

(If I knew how to do that with my posts, I totally would.)
Kell's parents had dropped him off at the Marta station, bought his ticket, and handed him a Coke without a word... to him. His father continues to glance disapprovingly at him, his mother was on the verge of tears. He watched them walk away arm in arm.
And he was alone. He boarded his train and was speeding towards... He couldn't decipher the writing on the ticket. Maybe it was blurred by his tears.
The highways ran almost parallel to the train tracks, and Kell had decided to play the game his mother had shown him as a boy, when she took him to her office.
"On the road, Kell, we'll play a little game... you pick a color and try to spell that word car by car, one car for each letter."
He had picked red that day. Easy. Today he picked the word nothing. A lot harder.

((lol it's ok)) When everything's coming your wayThe car began to slow down as Lila's mother pulled over. Both of Lila's parents got out of the car and Lila followed along. Her parents hugged her once more and brought her to the front of a huge building. Lila's eyes widened and tears began to form. "Mom, dad." She said as her voice quivered, trying to find the words to say. But before she could finish, her dad interrupted. "Lila we love you. Never forget that." They walked back to the car and left her there, bawling. She fell to the ground on her knees and watched them drive away. She sat there waiting, wondering what would happen next.Your in the wrong lane

The train stopped. Kell stepped out and surveyed the station. Rather empty. But there was something. He steeped out into the dayligh and saw a sign. Something Research Institute... The sun glared and blocked the first part of the sign. Kell glared back. He stopped when he saw a girl kneeling in front of the building. Sobbing. He ran across the street, almost got hit by a car that had just made a u-turn, and skidded (almost literally) to her side. He spoke. "Is... something wrong?" If life gives you lemons, take them. Because, hey, free lemons.

When everything's coming your wayLila looked up at the sound of a boy's voice. She wiped off the tears and said, "My parents .. they left me here." She looked down at the ground. She bit her lip. "I miss them already."Your in the wrong lane

Al turned to face his parents. He thought he was old enough to live on his own, but according to his parents, who have recently been gone all night long, he had been to bad. If Al wanted to live on his own, he would have to attend an "Unwinding Program".
Al's parents had always been drunks but in the recent years they had been drinking every night. Whenever his parents had come home more than buzzed, Al ran and hid in his closet, for if he was seen he would have been beaten. He thought about calling Child Services, but he loved his parents too much when they were sober. Not to mention they had been hurting for money. If Al called the child services, they wouldnt be able to pay for a lawyer or leave and would have had to go to jail. Not to mention Al didn't know what would happen to him.
As Al stared at his parents's shifty eyes he could help but worry that this program wasn't a good thing. Although he asked, Als parents hadn't told him anything about the program, but desperate to live on his own, Al had decided to forget about what the program entailed. Now that it looked him in the face, he felt almost scared. His parents handed him the ticket that he would need to get there. He thun turned around and got on the train. He took his seat and a sudden wave of tiredness. Although he tried to fight it he fell alseap within minutes. The wolrd around him turned dark.
The world suddenly sprang to life, as doctors filled around him. He could clearly see, but it all seemed as it was in a haze. The doctors's conversations were slured and inaudible. Al felt a sharp pain in his arm, or what he thought was his arm because when he tried to move it, he didnt see it. He turned his head to see his arm, and it wasnt what he saw that shocked him, it was what he couldn't see. His arm was gone, and in it's place was a bandage. A wave of pain flowed over him and made his vision fade away again. When the world seemed to flow back to life again, Al found he was in a dark room lit by faint lights above him. Al had regained his mind, but soon lost it to the rushing thoughts. The accident, he had been in the car with his father as they drove home, but his father had decided to stop for a drink. After he had drank for hours on end, he finaly decided to leave for home. Thoroughly drunk and very unstable, his driving was showing his drunkenness, and lo and behold, he drove through a red light. A car smashed right through the passenger's side, where Al had been sitting. Al had passed out from the force the plowed through him. Unfortunatly, his arm had been mutilated in such a way that his arm had to be amputated. Al looked up from his bed sheets and saw that there was a doctor standing in front of him. After a long discussion the doctor asked Al if he would like to have a chance to get his arm back. Al excitably replied yes, and after much time and pain, Al had an automail arm, an arm that worled exactly as an arm did but was mechanical.
Al suddenly woke from his slumber with a coat of sweat drenching him. He looked around to see he was not in a hospital, but on a train. Quickly calming from his fright, he started to realy notice what was around him and the people around him. He looked outside and saw he was near where he was supposed to go.
When he got off Al noticed a boy arguably three years younger than him run through the street to get to a girl who was even younger than the boy. Nearly missing certain death, he greets the young girl. Al quickly followed after he saw that the sign infront said Unwinding Research Institute, the place he was supposed to go. Al crossed the street and walked up to both the boy and girl, and realized thta the boy was the boy who sat across from him on the train.
"Hello, are you two here for the Unwing Program too? My name is Al."

A simple flash seemed to envelop Kell. Left... her here? Me here? When he returned, the girl was still on the ground, but there was someone new... someone he felt he should recognize but couldn't place the face. He sighed. "It's best to forget about them if you're away. Helps the ache." He turned to the new visitor. "The Unwinding Program? What's that?"
