On NymphsItika, the Earth Nymph
[x] [x]
Itika wasn't seen often though her presence always lingered in the shrine. While rarely seen and even less heared, it was widely known that her aura was the strongest of the four sisters. Itika was known to be nurturing, caring and very protective as much as she was known to kill every being personally on sight that didn't show the proper respect to her shrine. Because of this, fear prevented many a Beast to walk her shrine unless their heart was pure.
Being the Nymph of Earth, Itika preserved the balance by taking care of plants and animals. While many saw her as the symbol of Life, Itika was all too well known with Death as well. To her, death was part of life. None had the right to take someone away from death.
Itika's shrine was often overgrown by Ivy, and in some rare occassions an imposant stag showed itself. None has ever known if the stag was a guardian of the shrine, or if it was Itika herself.

On NymphsAria, the Fire Nymph
[x] [x]
While not the strongest of auras, Aria's aura was defenatly the most warm of them all. Aria loved to be around Beast that visited her. With her witty and charming personality, many a Beast visited her shrine to gain hope and even love. She was open and playful and usually brought smiles and light in the darkest of hours. However, Beast knew Aria was easily offended and always made sure to be careful with his words.
Being the Nymph of Fire, Aria preserved the balance by taking care of light and warmth. She worked well together with her sister Itika to make sure light and darkness remained equal in strength, but was very often seen as a symbol of Love, Fire and Creativity.
Aria's shrine was open and always seemed to bath in faint sunrays. Even at night, it seemed summer's warmth never fully left the place she lived in. Very frequently, a wise looking fox sat down on a treestump, but no one has ever known if the fox was a guardian or Aria herself.

On NymphsAyinu, the Water Nymph
[x] [x]
Ayinu had an aura that seemed to silence even the loudest of noices and calm the most nervous of people. Ayinu was the most patient of Nymphs, listening till the very last word of Beast was spoken. Only then she allowed herself to speak with words of honesty. Because of this, Beast often visited her when they required clear answers or were in need of a sanctuary.
Being the Nymph of Water, Ayinu preserved the balance by taking care of variation and beauty. Whatever she touched, the most beautiful sides and colors would show even if it originally seemed the ugliest thing on earth.
Ayinu's shrine was the largest of all since many referred to her as an Oracle of sorts. Many a Beast travelled to her shrine, especially those that lived closeby. The large pond that made up a large part of her shrine was ever so fresh and soothing, and once in a while a bird of paradise seemed to visit it to show the prettiest of colors. Weather it was Ayinu herself, or a guardian has never been known.

On NymphsAniimi, the Wind Nymph
[x] [x]
Aniimi's aura is fleeting, everchanging and evermoving. No one has ever been able to define it for longer than a second, unless these words were used. Aniimi was the most difficult to understand. She seemed to have a perception similar to that of a child and yet she held a wisdom far greater than any of her sisters. She was perceptive and unpredictable, at times even rude enough to leave her visitor(s) without warning as she continued to play her unseen game. Weather it was out of boredom or cheer randomness, it was rather hard to tell. Despite it all, no Beast has ever made Aniimi angry, though for unknown reason she is known to suddenly storm areas with fierceness and cold.
Being the Nymph of Wind, Aniimi preserved the balance by influencing travels, destiny and freedom. Some would even say she influences the mind of people who suddenly change thoughts or remain indecessive.
Aniimi never really had a shrine. The closest thing to look like one was a large obelisk tortured by the winds that seemed to be everpresent. Very often as well, a beautiful unicorn was seen to run in the vicinity of the obelisk, though none has ever been able to reach it. The unicorn is believed to be a guardian, but has never been proven.

On Nymphs Their Death, Freedom of Balance
While the Nymphs maintained balance on their own, Man had decided they had to die to bring freedom and balance to the world. Their death may not have had inherent effects the very moment itself, Magic changed a lot during the decades after their Guardians died. While Magic before was divided between the four elements and was balanced in defensive and offensive abilities, Magic now had started to mutate in several ways.
The first way was the mutation within the elements itself. The elements became disbalanced and soon created the Magic that is now known as "Pure", "Neutral" and "Corrupted" - the three alignments of the world. The elements transformed even more as they seperated and spliced. Several new elements came into existance and were soon used by the second mutation the free elements created.
The second way of mutation started when Beast, now free to manipulate the elements at their leasure, slowly became one with the elements. This caused new races to come into existance, both good and bad. Furthermore, many 'specialised' mages dug deeper and deeper and soon wielded the elements with such power that they were nearly considered divine... at a huge cost. Not only did the power of the elements often kill or mutate them, the power they wielded was so strong that these 'divine' mages barely could use more magic than a novice without causing huge damage.
The third way of mutation was when the elements transmuted themselves into beings. These beings were not only a new element, they were often considered a new race with raw power of their element, outpowering other races by far and wide. Luckily for the earth, the elements are in such chaos themself that there have never been many 'elementals' up to this day.

On Legends"Man"
[x]
Only decades have passed, but none remembers his name. Or was it a woman? Who knows "Man" was actually a Beast...
Because of this uncertitudes, stories refer to the current Ruler of earth as "Man", for all that is known, aside the deeds done, was that Man was a human. This human, now hidden in his own castle shunning the daylight and every contact with the world was once but an adventurer. A treasurehunter. A bountyhunter. But one with a perception that changed the world for good.
"Man" is known to be a War Mage. And not the kind that is able to blast fireball after fireball, but the kind that wielded magic like a sword. The kind of War Mage that fought enemy after enemy with words and a shining sword - now become legendary - while using magic to enhance his abilities. Or those of his troops. A War Mage unique of his kind, for somehow "Man" succeeded in mastering all the four elements (that were bound at that time) with hardly breaking a sweat.
If Man and Beast only knew what has become of Him now...

On Legends Manifest
No one is sure where this Beast comes from or what its purpose is, but Manifest has been present ever since the first Nymph died at Man's hand. It has never declared hostility neither attacked Man without warning, but it is proven that killing it is useless. Manifest seems to return to existance whenever it wishes. Another of its anomalies is that not everyone is able to see Manifest. Some are able to see him, yet his presence seems to affect nothing at all. Once gone, their memory holds nothing about him. Only Man seems to be affected by his existance, but even to him Manifests existance eludes him.

On ShrinesItikana, Shrine of the Earth Nymph
[x]
The shrine is small, but lays secluded in a beautiful forest known for its many exotic plants and animals. Not far from it, a waterfall brings the soothing music Itika likes so much, while the river flowing out of it nurtures the surrounding lush grasses.
It is here, in this small shrine that Beast came for Itika's blessings. However, now, the water has run dry and the little bit of water that makes the current waterfall is polluted. The shrine is overgrown with ivy and unkept. Itikana has become a small ruin, sheltering poisonous spiders now.

On ShrinesAyinuna, the Shrine of the Water Nymph
[x]
Ayinu's shrine never had been a real 'shrine'. It was rather a domain she considered hers and stretched wide over the lake and its borders. There she'd meet the Beasts to give them answers, watch the lake and bestow her blessing.
With Ayinu gone, the lake has remained lifeless. The water doesn't move at all. It has lost its glance. Only its natural beauty remains, as if slumbering.

On ShrinesAniimina, the Shrine of the Wind Nymph
[x]
Aniimi loved heights and the thrills they brought. Therefore, her shrines had been located inbetween the mountainpasses. There, the wind was always present. If not down low, then it would defenatly be high on top. It was usually on one of these mountaintops that the unicorn was spotted, looking down at the shrine as if keeping an eye out.
Aniimina has been raised to the ground. Only but rubble remains of the glorious, well-aired shrine. The power around it, thanks to the leylines, still emanates a strong presence.

On Lands The Otherwold
There was a time, long ago, where it was believed certain people actually weren't 'real'. Though none had the words to describe where they came from, these people were described as having a real soul with a temporary body. However, killing these temporary bodies also killed the soul, who in return killed the body in their world.
What has never been fathomed is that the world as known is actually a virtual world. On Earth, a genious gamer developed a matrix-alike game. The Otherworld refers to 'Earth'. "Man", the current ruler of the world, was said to be origined from the Otherworld, but as everything about him is forgotten in the course of time, so did the believes in 'the Otherworld' die.
Otherworld characters are bound to certain rules, since this world is considered a game in the eyes of the maker.

On Factions Imperial Legion
The Imperial Legion is to be found everywhere. Everywhere in the world are barracks, castles and outposts filled with warriors, archers and few mages that maintain the order for the ruler. Hard training and huge discipline makes sure that none thinks about walking the path of corruption, since that crime would be paid with an endless torture.
Their tasks are various: bountyhunting, town administration, enforcing the law, advising citizen, ...

On Factions The Black Hand
Since ages, the Black Hand is considered the main evil and corruptor of the world. Feared by everyone, the Black Hand - though not ruled by the previous five heads - accepts anyone up to task of thievery, spying, assasination, poisoning or starting problems of any sorts as a fulltime job. Yet, the Black Hand demands tact, wisdom and most of all discretion. Failing these is a one-way ticket to death.
At the time Nathan ruled over the world before he gave up his position to Man, it was believed that the origins of the Black Hand laid in the Outer World. Today, the only thing accepted is that the Black Hand should be taken care off.
