I've been to NYC twice.
The first time, I managed to get lost in the Bronx zoo during a class trip. I was so afraid that they would leave without me. Then, a police officer came up to me and offered to help, and I was frightened of him (because when you're in first grade, you always get told to not talk to strangers, no matter what) and of his motorcycle. He took me back to my class, and while we were going by some kids shouted that I was lucky to get to ride on a motorcycle. >.< So, I was scared of the city for several years.
What have your experiences with NYC been like?

Visiting it has been great. Traveling through it is a huge pain in the a**. I went for the first time when I was in 8th grade during Christmas and it was beeaaautiful. Saw the Rockets (that's what they're called, right?), ate at Jekyll and Hyde's, went to FAO Swartz (I can't spell anything...) blah blah blah. I've sort of visited it with friends but those were basically shopping trips, I guess. I recently went back with the ol' bf and we did the whole rockafeller thing and ate out (I forget where). Stopped at the Cornell Club for a little while because .... it was cold.
Traveling through it sucks though. Wait, did I already say that?

The food was that memorable, eh?
And with the transit strike at holiday time, I think saying that travel through it is a pain in the a** is merited.

Less Than Liz Yeah. Plus people really do have that NYC 'tude. But it's our NYC 'tude, to greater or lesser extent. Right?

Been there a decent amount of times n-n I actually got lost in the Bronx Zoo too Nadia, cept it was in 6th grade and wasn't so bad. I just looked at some more animals and latched onto a different group from my class =P
My family tries to go into the city every winter and see a play, but the most recent visit was for my sister's Kendo testiing 3nodding
