The previous night had been an odd experience, certainly one that a nun would never really think to put herself into. Dark Nights. Those were something that Sister Sidonia always heard being talked about, yet never had she attended one. That was - until last evening. The 'party' she had been told about by her number one patron turned out not to be a party at all. There was food at parties, mingling and music; perhaps, even some dancing. Yet, at this gathering there was none of that, except for maybe a casual conversation or two between people. The host of this party - the Dark Night - was a demon, and what was on the agenda was of a far more serious business.

Contracting.

Who would have thought that a demon would enter into a contract with a nun? Very few, if any, in all honesty. Sidonia herself didn't believe it at first. When the demon host grabbed her throat viciously the previous night, she should have been afraid. Should have been, but wasn't. When he asked her the simple question, "You are not here for a contract, are you, sister," any normal woman of her background and in a similar situation would have said no. She went against the typical stereotype, however, and claimed she was. Everything else happened in a blur after that. Stating what she wished, while claiming what she was willing to offer, then after that, making the actual contract itself. The Sister had made a pact with a demon that night, but she wasn't the only one. A young boy had entered into a contract with a demon that evening as well, and it was because of that boy that the nun found herself walking to a part of La'To that she hadn't been to in ages.

Teddy Alexander.

She remembered his name from the night before, but that wouldn't have been enough to help her. The kid's name -- it was common enough. There were probably hundreds of men in La'To with the exact same name, come to think of it. In any normal situation, Sidonia would have probably had a hard time in trying to get in contact with such a person, but this wasn't exactly a normal situation anymore. Not when demons were involved. The young woman strolled along the streets of town without saying a word to anyone. Ahead of her, although most would be unable to make it out, was a drooped over, anglerfish type figure: Desdemona, none other than the Sister's very own demon. She was the one who would lead the nun in the right direction.

Finally, demon and guardian reached their final destination. A row of nice-looking, well-to-do apartments stood in front of them, and Sidonia could have only guessed one thing; this was where young Teddy called home. Mossy green eyes glanced over the apartment signs and paused when they fell on the very first one. Alexander, the name plate read. The two of them had, indeed, found the correct location. Now there was only one thing left to do...

The nun approached the door without so much as a second thought. A hand then extended up once she was close enough and pressed the doorbell. Once that deed was done, Sidonia waited and placed her hands politely in front of her. Desdemona, on the other hand, melded back into the shadows. She would wait before making her presence known.

The tension in the bedroom was thick in the air, making anyone who entered feel incredibly awkward. The two beings inside shared no words. Utter and complete silence. Teddy eyed the reflections in the mirror, both himself and the demon that floated eerily in the background. Paris had been acting in this manner since their contract had been established. Was he defective? Would asking for a exchange be possible? At this rate their deal would never come to a conclusion.

Teddy finally let out a heavy sigh, breaking the silence.

" Look. I don't know what the hell is wrong with you but I'm hungry. " The teenager turned to face the imp, who in turn faced him. " I gotta water your stupid branch and prolly feed you. So come on already. " He took a few steps towards the door doorway that led him out and to the kitchen. Paris did not move. " Are you ******** kidding me? This again? "

Another 'quirk' had been revealed the previous night aswell, besides the lack of verbal communication, and it was possibly even more irritating to the self-absorbed male. Paris refused to move and had to be carried the entire trip back to his place. With another sigh Teddy approached the simple faced demon and scooped him into a embrace. Much to Teddy's surprise the imp replied with a large grin. The little ******** cute tune echoed about the house, signifying that someone had pressed the doorbell. Why had his mother requested such an annoying jingle? A simplistic bing would have sufficed. Though questioning his mother's taste could be done another time. As for now he had to open the damn door, possibly for flustered tenant, complaining about who knows what. Advancing through the cozy apartment Teddy made it to the front door, placed Paris on the floor beside him, and turned the knob.

" Uhhh, hey. My parents aren't here so yeah. "

"Good evening, Teddy," came the Sister's reply. Like the night before, it was sweet, yet with a hint of something a bit darker behind it. The nun made no attempt to move inside, not wanting to overstep her boundaries. That would be rude, and besides - Mr. and Mrs. Alexander weren't at home. She would have to wait to be invited in before trying to enter. "You and I have to have a little talk."

Down at her side, little Desdemona peeked her head out of the shadows. She gazed up at her fellow demon, bulbs and eye glowing, but made no attempt at a verbal response. She didn't have to. Even if she did, Paris probably wouldn't have responded back anyway. The cursed ham...all he cared about was his bloody stick. Though why it appealed to him so much, Desdemona had no idea.

While her human lingered outside the Alexander home, Desdemona wasted no time. She shuffled inside and moved fluidly past Teddy and began to explore the home. This was how humans lived? So peculiar!

Hazel eyes looked over the female presented before him. Not a tenant of the building but who was she that she spoke with such familiarity? Oh dear, one of those forcefully religious folk who spoke of how he was missing the blessing of the lord? Teddy scratched his head, looked her over again, and decided to question her appearance at his front door. " Do I kn- "

The nun's identity finally dawned on him.

" Ohhhh! From last night...." He paused for a second, noticing the demon beside her. It shuffled on in without permission much to Teddy's displeasure. " You might aswell come on in too, oh corrupted one. Please avoid from tainting my furniture. " Laughter soon followed, Teddy being quite fond of his own humor.

Paris frowned, realizing that feeding time had been postponed. A eyeless face followed after the hunched over imp but never gave chase. She moved too quickly for his taste after all. Though it was a pleasure to see her again. The connection the four of them shared was definitely a important one. And quite amusing.

" What is your name anyway? And why are you here? "
Teddy questioned bluntly.

A fine plucked eyebrow raised when Teddy asked his question. He was like any typical teenage boy, really. Straight to the point, rather snippy and a bit arrogant. Sidonia was glad that she wasn't like that when she was his age. If she were, she would probably drive her parents up the wall. Poor Mr. and Mrs. Alexander - the nun bet they had a handful with their son. Sidonia knew she would have if she were them.

"My name is Sister Sidonia," she replied in response to his question as she walked into the Alexander home. "As for why I am here, I already told you. You and I, young sir, have things to discuss about last night in particular." Her voice trailed off after that as the nun decided not to go on any further. She would save the rest of the conversation for a few minutes later after she was properly seated.

Desdemona could have warbled back in response to the child's comment. In fact, if she were bigger, she might have, but she chose to remain silent. Foolish human kids. Tainting the furniture -- ha! The Depth Imp would taint Teddy in a heartbeat before going after anything such as the Alexander's livingroom couch. He'd be a much more interesting challenge given the fact that he was, well, living. Desdemona oh so loved living things, after all~ As for Paris, it was nice to see him again, even if he was a bit more lazy than she was. A demon couldn't be picky in who she had for friends. Not when there were so few of them around these days.

The miniature living room was finely furnished considering it's size. A leather couch was placed along the wall, comfortably sitting two or three people depending on their size. To the right of it was placed an armchair, the two large windows beside it allowing the person who sat a perfect ground level view of the busy streets. Teddy motioned to both seats, allowing Sister Sidonia to choose from either or. He would not be sitting just yet. " I know what you said. But I want to know what we are talking about. " Teddy spoke as he made his way to the stationary imp, Paris. The imp grunted in attempts to communicate with the male human.

" Oh, so now you want to chat? Jesus Christ on a stick I'm sure as hell surprised. " Teddy chuckled before scooping Paris up back into his arms.

A similar sized kitchen was just to the left of the living room, separated by a L shaped counter. Teddy made his way behind it and towards the sink. There he began to fill up a watering can. " Oh wait! Does it have to deal with last night in some way? Well, obviously, but about the fact that you are a NUN who made a contract with that? " A delicate finger pointed at the other imp, Desdemona. " Who is pretty cool looking. Way more badass than this thing I'm stuck with. " The rest was mumbled while tilting the over filled water can onto Paris and his branch.

The demon beamed once the droplets made contact.

Jesus Christ on a stick? This kid certainly didn't know the proper protocol to use when speaking with a nun. Or if he did, then he certainly wasn't using it. What could she do, though? Telling him not to speak in such a way would just cause him to back-talk her, and that was the last thing she wanted. No...better to keep her mouth shut and just let it go. Other kids knew better, and the Sister knew that.

Despite the size of the living room, it was a rather nice area. The furnishings were looked more expensive than Sidonia thought would be in a simple apartment and comfortable enough to beckon her to sit. The nun found herself sinking into the armchair on he right of the couch, her expression content as she did so. Oh, chairs like this! It had been a while since she had sat in a comfortably furnished home. Convents and churches weren't exactly places to flaunt such possessions, what with the vows of poverty all of them had to take and all that. Being in the Alexander home, even for a serious topic as the one they were about to discuss, was a welcomed treat.

The Sister nodded her veiled head at the boy's first question and answered, "Yes, it is about last night. The events that went on at the Dark Night are a rather serious issue, especially when I am concerned." She paused and then continued, "I need to make sure that you don't go around speaking about what took place." As Sidonia said this there was something different in her voice. While it appeared as if she were speaking normally, there was definitely something there, though it was hard to detect. A hint of coldness or menace, perhaps. If anyone was aware of the Sister and knew her, then they should have realized that. There was more to her than meets the eye.

The nun's imp made no noise or comment upon being complimented. Her focus wasn't on Teddy at the moment. No -- it was more geared to Paris who seemed to be basking once the water hit his branch. What was it with him? And what was it with that branch? Branches weren't anything special or fun. What was fun was eating things that wriggled, glowing and trailing around one of the Church. It meant she got to learn about the human world, and they were oh, so interesting~ Desdemona would have fun when she was destined to grow, that much she was sure of. Just think of all the people she could play with.

And by play, she meant torment.

Hands were dried with a towel before lifting the lump christened Paris. Keeping the imp secured with one arm, Teddy reached with the other to grab a plum and an apple from the fruit basket. Now that he had some grub he could head on over to the coach and hold a proper conversation with the older lady. Which made a thought come to his mind. How old could she be? Not that her appearance gave anything away, maybe coming off a bit young even. But who knew, Teddy was not exactly the greatest guesser out there. Maybe he'd ask after discussing what needed to be, well, discussed.

Taking a seat on the opposite end of the coach Teddy finally let loose the imp. Paris floated in between the two humans and awaited for the apple. Teddy took no time in tossing the crimson fruit into Paris's gaping jaws. It was gone in one gulp. No crunch, just...poof. Paris mischievously smiled, turning to the female beside him. Teddy sighed, slightly embarrassed.

" Oh, how obvious! Wouldn't want anyone to know the *deets of how you oh so willingly committed such a terrible sin. " Another chuckle escaped those rosy lips. They parted to reveal perfectly shaped, and whitened teeth. Teddy bit down on the plum, the juices running down the corners of his mouth. Delicate digits wiped the juice slowly. The fruit gave flavor to the words he spoke, so sweet, so teasing. How Teddy loved himself at times like these. Well, he loved himself at all times of course! But sometimes moments like these came around when he could truly appreciate his complete self.

Oh perfection.

" Come on though. What do I get out of it? For keeping my mouth shut. " Teddy shifted on the couch to have a better look at Sidonia. " I'm sure you expected something like this, right? You seem smart enough. Key word...seem. "

( deets meaning details. hurrhurr )

"No," the nun replied simply with a calm and even tone to her voice, "I don't think they would." Sidonia shifted in her seat after this at the mention of her committing a 'terrible sin' as the teenager so aptly called it. "And even if they did," she continued on with an amused smirk, "I doubt many people would believe it. Nuns don't make deals like that, so I'm sure they'd be quick to dismiss such claims if they were ever made." This gave Sister Sidonia a slight peace of mind. Without any definitive proof, there was no way people would comprehend a woman of the Church making pact with hellish fiends. She'd be safe for a while, unless one of the other people at the Dark Night they were at went about blabbing.

Then again...that was precisely why Sidonia was at the Alexander home, wasn't it? To make sure certain people didn't run their mouths.

And then came the bribery bit. Typical selfish teen - she should have known. Regardless, Sister Sidonia couldn't help but flash a slight expression of annoyance when Teddy inquired what was in it for him. What did he get out of it? How was she supposed to know! She had no idea what a boy his age would want; not in the slightest. As far as she was concerned, all teenagers wanted these days were video games and...well, God knew what else. She didn't really hang out with any long enough to find out. "What sort of thing did you have in mind," the holy sister questioned, her habit-covered head tilting to the side. "I'd have to have an idea of what you wanted before I started making any sort of bargain with you. Things have to be fair, after all. That is how it works."
PostPosted: Sat Mar 27, 2010 5:26 pm

Eyes narrowed as they looked over the Sister. This entire situation was just so incredibly hilarious. A nun, out of all professions, made a contract with a demon. The very beings the church obviously despised and wanted destroyed. Now here she was, practically begging Teddy not to say a word. She may have not made the desperation obvious but the visit alone screamed PLEASE DON'T TELL DADDY-PRIEST. Yet she kept herself composed, funny right? Why not reveal her inner demons? Teehee, demons. In the end, no matter how humorous it all was, Teddy kept himself in line. No need to cause any extra drama, right? She could very well be completely off the rocker. Crazy. Coo-coo. Unbalanced.

Ohhhh how Teddy wanted to laugh over his inner thoughts.

" Whatever lady. People would still question why anyone would say such things about you. Don't be stupid. " Teddy bit into his fruit once more, chewed, and continued. " Cuz like...just imagine. I'm not even gonna bother explainin cuz you should understand already. " The teen hopped back onto his feet and began to pace back and forth. The question of what he wanted in returned still fresh in the air. There was plenty of things of course! New articles of clothing, a better imp, and so on. But none of it really struck out to him.

Oh wait! There was something he would absolutely love!

" I want you to include me in your plans. Yeah...I like that! I could be your sidekick, a very cute sidekick. " A slender finger was placed on his lips as old super hero stories were retold in his mind. " And if not that just involve me in your drama. I have nothing better to do, you know? " He took one final bite and spoke while chewing.

" Not like I have anything better to do. "

The teenager did have a point. People certainly would question about why would people say such absurd things in the first place. A nun with a demon? What on earth would possess a person to say that about her? Yet, even so, the nun shrugged off Teddy's claim and didn't even bother to bat an eyelash. "Perhaps," she told him, "but anyone who didn't like me would certainly not hesitate to say such things in an attempt to get me into trouble." She then paused, only to wave a hand dismissively at the boy as he ate his fruit. "Anyway, it's time to move on. We have more important things to discuss." Sidonia had a good point. There were definitely more crucial topics to talk about with one another.

Like Teddy's request, for example.

Included in her plans? He wanted to be included in her plans? Ha! What a presumptuous request, especially when the young boy didn't even know what she had planned to do. Teddy wanted to be 'involved in her drama' as he put it. His desire -- it was almost comical, especially when the nun had no idea what she would be getting into herself. She would be at Tino's beck and call in the future, so for Teddy to want in on all of that...it was all Sidonia could do to keep from laughing out loud. "A sidekick," the nun repeated with an amused smirk and a slow shake of her head. "I'm not sure how much I need a sidekick, but..." Her voice trailed off at this as she weighed her options.

Hmmm...well, it couldn't hurt to have someone else involved. She'd probably find some use or another for him later on, anyway.

"Who am I to tell you no?" It was when she said this that Sister Sidonia's signature kind-looking smile tugged at her lips. Depite her smile, there was a darkness behind her eyes: one that meant she'd be willing to use Teddy in any way, shape, or form in order to further her goal to get what she wanted.

A harsh, shrill hissing could be heard down near the teenager's feet. By the looks of things, Desdemona had grown tired of examining Paris for the time being and had become much more interested in Teddy. Oh, Teddy! Such a naïve little boy. He had no idea what he was getting himself into.
PostPosted: Wed Mar 31, 2010 6:13 pm

No matter how hard the teenager tried he was not yet intelligent enough to realize the danger he may have thrown himself into. Instead of concerning himself with his own task, finding his one true love, here he was offering himself once again. Odd for someone who only thought of one's self. Though none of this crossed his mind. At a later date in might, or maybe when the line of no return was crossed...no matter. Teddy was content with the results. To be included in something so scandalous could turn out fruitful. Also, no matter how independent he was, Teddy had nothing to do with his spare time. His life was...rather simplistic if anything. Wake up, school, return home, and sleep.

Never ending cycle.

Maybe this was the reasoning behind such a request? Possibly. Teddy was not exactly the deepest thinker at times. Mostly concerning himself with the present. Whatever happens, happens. And in order for him to complete his contract SOMETHING had to happen. A event of some sorts...

Sidonia's smile did not go unnoticed. If anything, it worried the teen. Only in the slightest of course! No one could really intimidate the teenager. Right? Though the hissing of a particular imp certainly did! Flinching back in response to the shrill, Teddy turned to look at his own demon. " Why can't you be a little bit like her, hmm? " Teddy then cleared his throat. " Would you like my number? To get in contact. "

" Though don't expect me to pick up all the time! I'm busy. " He lied.

If Teddy was so eager in order to tag along or to help her, who was the Sister to refuse him? He would probably be more of a help to her than a hinderance (if he wasn't a complete idiot, that is; so far, he didn't seem to be). Another good thing about the whole situation was that Teddy was old enough to take care of himself. He could make his own decisions as a man, and therefore the teenager was no way her responsibility whatsoever. The nun had other things to take care of and to tend to: Desdemona, for one, and her contract for the other, and then her duties to the Church last.

"Having your number would be most beneficial," Sidonia claimed as she reached into a pocket of her nun clothing. From it the woman procured a small, simple card that contained the customary information: her name (Sister Sidonia; it was rare for the woman to use her given name, though she did in certain instances when the situation called for it), address of her convent, and the phone number from which to reach her.

"Here is my card in case you need anything. Just ask for Sidonia and they will make sure I am aware of your call. Also, if you'd ever like to meet up in a less...formal setting in a more...what's the word.." she paused, but then nodded with a smirk, "secluded place, then just let me know as well. Sometimes it's best to talk about certain things without having to worry about prying eyes, sharp ears, or loose lips."
PostPosted: Mon Apr 05, 2010 3:21 pm

The informative card was snatched with haste, glanced over once, and safely placed within a jean pocket. " Secluded? " Teddy questioned before moving away to find a piece of parchment to scribble his own information. " Are you too embarrassed to be seen with me? So mean. " Teddy snickered. " But whatever~ If that is how you want things to be then I won't argue. " He decided to hold his tongue just to avoid ruining their arrangement. With all those demented smiles the sister could prove to be a murderer! And Teddy had every intension of living. So keeping their new found 'friendship' on a more positive note would keep both participants content.

Though the search for some stationary was proving to be irritating. " Maybe I have a pen and paper in my room. So hold on, kay? " The teenager smiled, a bit embarrassed, and walk backwards in the direction of his room. Which was obviously not the brightest thing to do. Teddy tumbled on his own feet, let out an awkward gasp, and fell with a thud. The recovery from the fall also failed to have any elegance. Teddy simply scrambled to his feet and dashed within the safety of his room.

Paris grunted at the spectacle. How silly this human was turning out to be. Such a tough exterior to cover the squishy flaws within. The imp would have no shame in admitting his satisfaction of holding a contract with Teddy. Unlike the Sister he was easy to read. Well, at least it was for him.

A red faced Teddy emerged from the bedroom with a folded note. " Here. Take it and leave. " He spoke without looking at the nun. " I need figure out things for my own contract, so yeah. Very busy. "

Ah, the teenage years~ So awkward and so uncoordinated, filled with many trips, stumbles, and embarrassing conversations. She certainly didn't miss those days; not one bit. Yet still, it was amusing to watch young Teddy go about his business. He was cute, in a way, regardless of his blunt and arrogant attitude. If he just learned some manners, then perhaps he'd turn out to be a rather nice young man. Those things came with time, however, and the nun knew the boy was far away from reaching his full maturity. His friends, family and loved ones around him could only wait until that day came around.

Desdemona tilted her head at the spectacle before her, antennae drooping off to the side as she did so. Paris' human was an odd one - she was sure of that. All arms and legs with very little floating around upstairs in his head. With a low growl, the depth-demon then scittered on back to the nun's side. The female imp was proud to have a contractor such as Sidonia. Unlike Teddy, the nun was fully aware of what she was doing. Not only did she have life experience, but there was more to her than meets the eye; something that couldn't be said for the boy at all. Oh, well. It was Paris' loss.

"Believe me, I shall," Sister Sidonia said calmly while taking the folded piece of paper. As she pocketed it, the holy sister made her way to the door without even bothering to glance back at the teenager. If he needed to figure out things with his contract, then that was fine, for so did she. The stipulations within hers were a whole lot more detailed than the boys: all he had to do was feed and water little Paris. She, on the other hand, was going to have to delve into darker things. Much, much more sinister.

"See you soon, Teddy," was the last thing Sister Sidonia said before exiting the Alexander home completely. She was gone after that with Desdemona trailing off behind her in silence. The small red orbs of the imp's antennae in the distance were the final indication that the hellish sister and her companion had, indeed, left the boy's house for good that evening. They would make contact again, however. Sooner, both of them knew, than Teddy or Paris probably thought.
