So, what do you think Edward was like before he changed? A gentlemen as he is now, or a trouble maker? Or something different? Do you think he had a girlfriend? If so, what was she like? Do you think he still thinks about her? Anything else you think of-please share. Pre-vamp-Edward should be very interesting...

MM we don't have much on him but in the time period he was born in there's a chance he was raised as a gentleman and I wouldn't be surprised if he had been courting a lady. As for if he still thinks of her it's doubtful to me as he pretty much only thinks about Bella.

Well, I think Edward was a servicer, you know? He did things because other people liked it. He didn't have any romantic relationship, according to the book. He said Bella was the first girl he had been interested in during his entire existence. I think he was still an gentleman but he wasn't doing it because it was habitual, he was doing it because he wanted to make other people happy.

I think Edward was a gentleman because it made people happy and it's a very nice thing to do that seems to no longer (for the most part) exists today. I don't think he was courting with any one ergo he doesn't think about them.

I figured that he would be courting a woman if only because it was expected of him but he never showed an interest in her and of course we know he never kissed her.
