Hail, o' great liege of the ancient woods, ruler of the deepest forest...

Yup, the must-have topic of every subforum of this kind. If you don't want to make a separate thread for each book you have read (which would be, telling the truth, pointless), just mention the title here and tell us something more about it like whether it's worth reading or not. Never ever describe the plot - you'd ruin all the fun from reading!

Ok, so I'm first. The book I've been reading recently is "Icy fire" /the original title is "Frostfeuer", the English totle might vary 'cause I'm reading the book in Polish..../ by Kai Meyer. The author took his inspiration from one of Hans Christian Andersen's fairytales, the one about Snow Queen. The whole story takes place in Russia, in year 1893. You can actually find Snow Queen herself in the book, her slave, a magician.... It's more like a fairytale indeed 'cause the story is a little bit naive somethimes and sometimes there are thing mentioned that a child would never understand... The author might have make up his mind before writing the book.... Anyway, I love it, but mainly because if the Snow Queen - this is one of my favourite fairytales....

The Ravens are on the wings!

i just got done reading a book today(but iv read 3 books this week)

the book that i finshed was "the van alen legacy" its the 4th book in the blue blood soga. itr really good, but im kinda counfused about it right now.

the others were from the same seares, "the faire folk trilogy" gash! there so good. it has such a odd story, but it so good! the story make up for who it was written. do get me wrong it was good. its just the way the begening of the frist book was done.

and i think that manga count too. because there still books right? but if manga counts, what about fanfiction?

I'm always reading something (one could blame my mother, I suppose). I'm just about to start reading Dragonflight for the second time and I'm also reading Sea of Monsters (the second book of the Percy Jackson series) and New Moon. Go ahead and mock me for the last, but I like the books.

Well, I've finished reading "Icy Fire" and now I'm reading tome 2 of "Oko Jelenia" by Andrzej Pilipiuk. He's one of the most famous Polish writers at the moment. His studies in archeology have a great influence on his works, which are a nice combination of fantasy, science-fiction, history and funny events. His style is simply amazing and every single story of his hooks me... Even if you have no idea who the hell he is ;3

The whole advertising campaign for 'Twilight' and the fact that each and everyone likes it makes me automaticly keep away from this. Still, I'm not in a position to judge since I've never read the book. And I won't. I can't see no point in reading a book that doesn't 'speak' to me just to get a right to criticise it ;3

Yup, I take your point. The book is always better than a movie, after all. But I guess what annoys me the most is the fact that teenagers who have only see that one movie are now the greatest fans of vampires, dark and mysterious things (yeahh.... that's ssoooooooo dark and mysterious crying I guess they'd get a heart attack if they heard about the things I'm reading) etc. It's like something is in fashion and magic - everyone likes it. Shish!
