I just wanted to add ... this isn't a karate movie ... but kung fu ... which is kinda weird ...

It's a solid cast, and from the trailer it doesn't look too horrible. I think they're banking on the power of a franchise and the general ignorance of their target audience toward the difference between karate and kung fu. I have a touch of a bias toward Jackie Chan though, he reminds me of my sifu.

Well a lot of people say its going to be a bust, but im still going to see it for myself.
People who have seen the original will probably have high expectations, since its from a classic.

I like the change of concept ... and I was hoping that Jackie Chan would embrace a role like this ... he would seem suited for it ...
